What They Wore: Celebrity Sneaker Stalker Posted: 08 Jun 2009 12:46 PM PDT If you weren't one of the rap fans that packed in Giants Stadium for Hot 97's Summer Jam yesterday, you missed out on pretty good concert, and a bunch of celebrities rocking sneakers you've probably copped (or aspired to cop) in the past few weeks. Show-stealer Jay-Z rocked Nike RT1s, (ironically Jim Jones' new favorite sneakers) while the buzz-worthy Drake kept it predictable with the Tan/Tan Yeezys. In addition to Hov and Drizzy, Dipset's Capo Jim Jones wore the Nike Air Max 2009s and Jeezy supported Jordan Brand lacing up the Black/Taxi Dub Zeros. Check the full rundown that includes Soulja Boy, Elephant Man, and more after the jump, then hit the comments up and let us know who's footwear ran the stage. | Read the rest of What They Wore: Celebrity Sneaker Stalker © Joe La Puma for NiceKicks.com, 2009. | Permalink | 12 comments | Add to del.icio.us Post tags: Celebrity Sneaker Stalker, What They Wore |
KICKS/HI x Reebok Reverse Jam Pack Posted: 08 Jun 2009 12:33 PM PDT The KICKS/HI x Reebok collaboration that we previewed last month is finally set to drop at KICKS/HI locations this Saturday June 13th. The KICKS/HI x Reebok Reverse Jam Pack will feature two colorways of the Reverse Jam as well as three matching t-shirts. The two colorways are familiar to fans of Kicks/HI, black and orange, and green and orange have been popular colorups for both shirts and fitteds from the company. These will be available at additional retailers later in the summer, but I wouldn’t sleep on these if I were you. Click here for detailed photos of the kicks and shirts. | Read the rest of KICKS/HI x Reebok Reverse Jam Pack © Nick Engvall for NiceKicks.com, 2009. | Permalink | 2 comments | Add to del.icio.us Post tags: KICKS/HI, Reebok Reverse Jam |

Nike Hypermax Tennis Ball New Colorways Posted: 08 Jun 2009 10:12 AM PDT People seem to like both the McFly colorway, and the tennis ball colorway of the Hypermax, but today we’ve got even more colorways of the Hypermax Tennis Ball makeup. The Nike Hypermax Tennis Ball originally surfaced in only the neon yellow typically associated with the tennis ball. Nike seemed to have caught on that the makeup was a banger. Now there are red and blue colorways done up in the same mix of materials. As of right now these are only available overseas, but look for them to land at US retailers in July. Which colorway is the best of these four Hypermax sneakers? | Read the rest of Nike Hypermax Tennis Ball New Colorways © Nick Engvall for NiceKicks.com, 2009. | Permalink | 26 comments | Add to del.icio.us Post tags: Nike, Nike Hypermax |
Puma Match Neon Posted: 08 Jun 2009 09:59 AM PDT Obviously, the “Terror Kings” Pack is receiving the most attention out of all the Puma releases seeing that it finally made its way to the U.S. this past month. However, lying in its shadow, the classic Match model is now set to release in two basic, subtle colorways. Both colorways, one coming in black and the other in white, feature a 100% premium Italian Bera Raso leather. Other features include translucent soles with blue trim and Puma logo tags on the tongue and side panels. Available now at select Puma retailers. Click here to detailed photos of both pairs. 5 Minutes with Rik Cordero Posted: 08 Jun 2009 09:35 AM PDT Hailed by Nah Right as “the only Hip Hop video director on the planet”, you’ll be seeing more of Rik Cordero and the Three/21 Empire in the upcoming future. His resume speaks for itself. Alongside his work with a wide range of artists - from superstars like Jay-Z, Nas, Snoop, and Busta, to rising phenoms like Wale, Joell Ortiz, and Consequence - he’s also been nominated for the 2009 BET Award for Video Director of the Year alongside heavyweights like Hype, Chris Robinson, and Benny Boom. We were able to catch up with Mr. Cordero and ask him about his thoughts on sneakers. Shouts to the Three/21 fam for all their support. Check the interview after the jump. | Read the rest of 5 Minutes with Rik Cordero © Peter Sim for NiceKicks.com, 2009. | Permalink | 9 comments | Add to del.icio.us Post tags: 5 Minutes with..., Features |
Nike Total Max Uptempo Posted: 08 Jun 2009 09:30 AM PDT Last Month we saw the Black/Volt colorway of the Air Total Max Uptempo from Nike. The Nike Total Max Uptempo is most remembered for being Tim Duncan’s sneaker of choice while still on the Swoosh. The shoes feature a full length Air sole unit, and will likely feature a similar combination of nubuck and leather to that of the Volt colorway. These two colorways will be hitting retailers in the spring of next year, likely to be priced at the same retail price of $160, as previous colorways. Will you be picking up a pair of these? | Read the rest of Nike Total Max Uptempo © Nick Engvall for NiceKicks.com, 2009. | Permalink | 17 comments | Add to del.icio.us Post tags: Nike, Nike Total Max Uptempo |
New Balance MTG580 Gore-Tex Gradient Posted: 08 Jun 2009 09:20 AM PDT In March, New Balance released a limited edition, three-set of the New Balance MTG580 Gore-Tex. Many of you stated that the colors were too bright on all three sneakers. However, New Balance is set to release two more MTG580 Gore-Tex colorways which feature another unique design. This New Balance MTG580 Gore-Tex two-set is very different from the previous Gore-Tex colorways in that it possesses a two-tone base. One pair will release in a Pink/Yellow color scheme, while the remaining pair uses a White/Black colorway. One of the more interesting details on this shoe is the gradient-like design seen on the upper. Both pairs will be available at New Balance lifestyle retailers soon. Nike Air Max 3 (Air Garnett 3) New Colorways Posted: 08 Jun 2009 09:04 AM PDT We saw the classic colorway of the Air Max 3 (Air Garnett 3) a couple months back. Today we have a look at two more upcoming colorways for the spring of 2010. The Nike Air Max 3, or the shoe formerly known as the Air Garnett 3 will be returning next year in two color combos. Black and white, as well as a white, black and green, both of which feature the traditional Max Air heel unit, and the Zoom Air in the forefoot. Were these or the Flightposite II’s the better of Nike sneakers Kevin Garnett wore? | Read the rest of Nike Air Max 3 (Air Garnett 3) New Colorways © Nick Engvall for NiceKicks.com, 2009. | Permalink | 18 comments | Add to del.icio.us Post tags: Air Max 3, Nike |
