Nike SB Dunk Low “Un-Hemp”

Posted: 28 Jul 2009 12:05 PM PDT

Nike SB Dunk Low Ron Burgundy

Back in the early 2000’s, Nike released the original Hemp Dunks in a number of colorways. Hemp has been a favorite amongst sneakerheads, although, when overused, it can make you hungry for more.

That’s what Nike is hoping for with these latest Nike SB Dunk Low “Un-Hemp” editions that will be available this holiday season. This time, rather then the upper being completely hemp, orange suede has been mixed in. Aside from the hemp coloring, orange takes up the most part of the upper, while brown accents the inner liner and laces. No word on an exact release date, but we’ll keep you informed.

Jordan Hallowed Ground

Jordan Brand has released a couple of summer basketball sneakers this year such as the Jordan Element (see Performance Review) and the Jordan Schoolin’. However, the Jordan Hallowed Ground, set to appear some time in the fall of 2009, has been on many sneaker enthusiasts radar since the first colorway surfaced. Photos of yet another colorway have now shown up on the web.

The latest Jordan Hallowed Ground features a deep blue-colored tongue, lacing section and midfoot area surrounded by a white leather base. Other details include a deep blue Jumpman logo on the heel panel and white shoelaces; yet, the sole incorporates one of the more interesting features on this shoe. It owns a splattered, gradient-liike design beginning with white on the frontal part and ending in a solid deep blue color. No word yet on when this shoe will officially release, however, click here to view detailed photos.

Nike Sportswear at 225 Forest

Posted: 28 Jul 2009 10:00 AM PDT

Nike SB Dunk Low Ron Burgundy

The 21 Mercer Nike Sportswear experience has long been THE experience for customizing gear from the Swoosh. Until recently the west coast has been left in the cold sunshine without any place to go for the experience. Nike Inc. has now opened up at 225 Forest in Laguna Beach, California.

The 225 Forest location offers, not only Nike Sportswear, but other Swoosh owned brands, such as Hurley, Converse, Nike 6.0 and Nike SB. In addition to being able to customize items such as shorts from Hurley, Converse Chuck Taylor’s, and of course NIKEiD favorites, by participating in “The Workshop” experience, you’ll be doing some good for the community. One dollar of every customized item will be donated to the art programs at local schools.

Laguna Beach has always welcomed artists with open arms, and the 225 Forest is a perfect fit. Paintings from Bob Dob and Dalek can be seen hanging on the walls of the store. Dalek’s graphics are also amongst those that can be transferred onto your favorite shorts from Hurley, or a new pair of Chucks from Converse.

Nike SB Dunk Low “Ron Burgundy”

Posted: 28 Jul 2009 08:47 AM PDT

Nike SB Dunk Low Ron Burgundy

The latest Nike SB Dunk Low has arrived at LTD. This time around the Dunk stays classy like San Diego thanks to legendary Anchorman, Ron Burgundy.

Ron’s unique (timeless?) 70’s style inspired these Nike SB Dunk Low “Ron Burgundy”. Burgundy’s suit is represented with the color of the same namesake, while the gold found on the Swoosh represents the Gold from Ron’s watch and cuff links. Final touches are applied with the pattern print near the heel that represents Burgundy’s tie. These will set you back about $130.
