Nike Dunk High Nylon Dark Obsidian/Orange

Posted: 01 Sep 2009 12:58 PM PDT

Nike Dunk

Last week, we showed you the Nike Dunk High Black/Black-Sail in which many of you bashed until its exited our homepage. If you recall, it was also a part of our The Good, The Bad, & The Ugly column at the beginning of the week. Now, photos of its counterpart have surfaced on the web.

Similar to the aforementioned black/black-sail nylon Dunk, this shoe also owns a unique, multi-colored print design throughout the base. Yet, its side panels, toe box and inner lining are all smothered in a blue nylon material. To finish it off, this sneaker possesses blue shoelaces, a white midsole and a gum bottom. This Dunk High will be available in February 2010. Give us your take on the erractic design on this shoe. Click here to view additional photos.

Bespoke Nike Air Force 1

Bespoke Nike Air Force 1

21 Mercer Street always churns out some crazy AF1’s, and fresh from production is this pair, arriving today at Nike’s New York design studio.

The customer chose to go with two tones of brown denim for the majority of the shoes, offset with a teal and brown heel. The bright yellow on the midsole and laces really jumps off the brown base, breaking up but also complimenting the earth tones well. The customer was able to put together some very clean, and definitely one-of-a-kind AF1’s here, embracing all that there is to offer at 21 Mercer.

Click here for more pics, and to tell us what you like about these, and what you would change.

Nike Air Max LeBron VII China Edition

Posted: 01 Sep 2009 11:58 AM PDT

Nike Air Max LeBron VII

Have we already seen more colorways of the Nike Air Max LeBron VII than the Nike Zoom LeBron VI? If not, it seems we are very close to seeing the Air Max LeBron VII overtake the Zoom LeBron VI color-wise; the season hasn’t even started yet! Although we have seen various Air Max LeBron VII colorways that pay tribute to specific cities in China, this colorway is considered the overall China edition.

Similar to the Nike Hyperize “Champion Gold”, which was also features China-inspired attributes, this Air Max LeBron VII contains a white/metallic gold color scheme. The visible Air sole unit is also colored in metallic gold; however, one of the more interesting features on this shoe is the various Chinese figures seen on the heel of the shoe. Monochromatic chinese symbols appear directly on the heel, while gold-colored symbols are seen towards the quarter panels. No word yet on when this shoe will release; meanwhile, click here to view additional photos.

Nike Air Carnivore Retro

Posted: 01 Sep 2009 11:28 AM PDT

Nike Air Carnivore Retro

It’s been 16 years since the Nike Air Carnivore first dropped. And while the wild style and super high ankle strap may have irked some, two colorways are up for a retro release next summer.

We featured this unique lace-less trainer last year on Throwback Thursday, and they received a lot of love and support for a retro release. By summer 2010, it will have taken almost two years for your calls to have been answered, but whether it was the crazy colors, the Durabuck synthetic panels, or the Neoprone construction that allowed an unprecedented amount of breathability that got you hooked, next summer should be a good one for fans of this design.

Are you excited about this retro, or is this one design you just can’t get behind?

Collectible Michael Jordan Hall of Fame Gatorade Bottle

Posted: 01 Sep 2009 10:58 AM PDT

Michael Jordan Hall of Fame

As we all know, Michael Jordan will officially be inducted into the NBA Hall of Fame on September 11th, 2009. Recently, we have seen everything from magazine covers, sneaker packs, look books and other things that are associated with the induction. In the same manner, we have now spotted a one-of-a-kind collectible Michael Jordan Hall of Fame Gatorade bottle on eBay.

Similar to the Michael Jordan Gatorade Cooler Set that surfaced in July, this bottle features MJ’s signature along with a photo of him. This time, the photo is of Jordan shooting the ‘Last Shot’ against the Utah Jazz in the 1998 NBA Finals (Byron Russell is nowhere to be found in the picture). There is still two days left on this collectible, so head on over to eBay to bid now.

Nike Air Pippen Hybrid

Posted: 01 Sep 2009 10:28 AM PDT

 Nike Air Pippen Hybrid

It is safe to say the Nike 1/2 Cent is the best Nike Basketball hybrid we have seen ever. The original colorway was undoubtedly one of the highly anticipated sneakers of this year. Now, Nike closes the Penny Hardaway signature sneaker chapter for now and focuses on Scottie Pippen’s signature line.

At a first glance, this Scottie Pippen hybrid does not hold a torch to the aforementioned Penny Hardaway hybrid or any other hybrid we have seen. Obviously, it most revealing feature is the enlarged ‘AIR‘ on the side which is most notably recognized on the Nike Air More Tempo. In addition, its sole reminds many of the Nike Air Pippen II. We all understand that Nike is trying to honor some of the better signature shoe lines; however, is this yet-to-be-named hybrid really a tribute to Scottie or was this made in honor of Pippen’s days with the Rockets and Trail Blazers? Click here and supply us with the first word that comes to your mind when seeing this shoe.

Jordan History of Flight Online Lookbook

Jordan History of Flight Online Lookbook

As we draw closer and closer to the great one’s induction into the Basketball Hall of Fame, the tributes continue to roll in. To commemorate Nike and Jordan Brand’s relationship with the one whose name they bear, the sneaker brand has launched the Jordan History of Flight online lookbook.

The online site features a page for each of the 24 Jordan sneakers, all in white color ways, with corresponding “3-D” graphics corresponding to the shoe, the year it was released or one of Michael’s achievements form that year. Note Bugs Bunny on the top of the XI, or the Olympic tributes on the VIIs’ page. With all the Jordan tributes being released lately, including Gatorade’s Ultimate G Moment contest and the Hall of Fame’s own exhibit, it’s easy to get lost in the MJ Madness, but this online mini-site is definitely a tribute you have to see and appreciate if you’re a fan of sneakers, Jordan or the game of basketball itself.

Click here for some sample pics.
