Nike 1/2 Cent Black/Green Spark/Metallic Silver Posted: 08 Sep 2009 12:28 PM PDT The 1/2 Cent has been regarded as one of the top releases of the year, having been seen in all-black blue/black and silver/black colorways. And with this fourth installment of 1/2 Cent releases, we see a bright green-accented model. As stated above, this release features a green spark sole. The same green can be seen as an accent to the top eye-stays, heel-tab and swoosh, as well. The reflective Penny logo is back, too, as is the reflective material that runs the length of the entire shoe. The construction of the shoe is the Foamposite material Penny Hardaway originally made famous. Don’t miss the Lil Penny hologram on the bottom, either. Even though he’s on the bottom, it’s fair to say that as far as sidekicks go, Lil Penny got a lot better treatment than Lil Dez and his Big Nikes. Look for these just in time for Christmas. Asics Directional Level for Fall Posted: 08 Sep 2009 11:28 AM PDT Asics’ Directional Level line is comparable to Nike’s QS approach, dropping in limited colorways, material selections and quantities. Earlier this month we showed you the mita x Asics Gel-Lyte Speed, and most of you liked it. While this round of limited releases doesn’t involve collaborations, it looks like the four-month run has some great designs in store. Starting in September, two pairs will drop–a Gel-Lyte Speed and GT II. Each month until December, a new colorway or two of varying models will release. Bespoke Nike Air Force 1 x Nike Air Yeezy Posted: 08 Sep 2009 10:28 AM PDT Nike’s 21 Mercer has churned out yet another pair of clean and inspired AF1s, as seen here in these Air Yeezy-inspired kicks. Customer and designer Adam Sofa drew inspiration from one of 2009’s biggest releases and chose to design his own shoe around them. Using a mix of patent leather and suede, these are a great tribute sneaker. The lining and stitching are all pink, while the grey toe helps break up the black on the rest of the design. It seems like the only thing missing is the glow-in-the-dark outsole. Adam says the Yeezy is one of his favorites, as he is a native to Illinois, just like Kanye. Interestingly enough, these shoes were designed completely remote, as Adam used iChat to work with Nike’s team, eliminating the need to travel all the way to New York. These AF1’s have a great story behind them, and are a very well thought out tribute to one of the biggest sneaker releases ever. Do these Bespokes do it for you, or would you rather keep your Yeezys and your Forces separate? | Read the rest of Bespoke Nike Air Force 1 x Nike Air Yeezy © Alex Kroviak for NiceKicks.com, 2009. | Permalink | 33 comments | Add to del.icio.us Post tags: Bespoke, Nike, Nike Air Force 1 |
