Nike Zoom Skyposite Amare Stoudemire PE

Posted: 15 Sep 2009 12:58 PM PDT

Nike Zoom Skyposite Amare Stoudemire PE

The newest member of the Nike Posite family, the Zoom Skyposite, surfaced to mixed reviews, but now that we’ve seen these 2009-2010 Amare Stoudemire PE’s, a few opinions may swing either way for good.

Featuring a shiny black upper, which fades down to purple before connecting with the solid purple Lunar midsole, these are undoubtedly a Suns’ players’ sneaks, though they’d work in Sacramento too. Amare’s “AS” appears over the black tongue, as well. While there was some doubt which details from above Skyposites would make the final version, it looks like Nike has opted to use the lower heel cut, as well as the heel pull. Also gone are the lower breathing holes.

Look forward to seeing these on Amare’s feet when Kicks On Court returns. With all the D-Wade anticipation, and LeBron VII madness already in place for this NBA season, Kicks on Court is sure to be better than ever.

Head to the comments board and let us know how you feel about these.

2001 Air Jordan 7 “Bordeaux” Sample

Posted: 15 Sep 2009 12:28 PM PDT

2001-air-jordan-7-bordeaux-sample-on-ebayEarly this month we broke news of possible retro of the Air Jordan 7 “Bordeaux,” and sneakerheads rejoiced. Now we’ve spotted the exact same samples on eBay. While the sighting of these being on eBay doesn’t do much for the rumor, it is your chance to own a true 1 of 1 Jordan sample–Something very few people will ever do.

The OG “Bordeaux” colorway dropped in February 1992, and was up for retro in 2002, when Jordan Brand opted to retro the “Raptors” design instead. A third “Raptors” retro was released every recently with the Air Jordan 7 DMP 60+ Pack, along with an Orlando Magic-inspired AJ7.

This eBay auction ends September 20th, and pricing already looks prohibitive, but for those sneakerheads whose pockets run as deep as their obsession, this is a rare opportunity.

Nike Blazer Hi “Count Dracula”

Nike Blazer Count Dracula

Nike has created this Count Dracula-inspired Blazer for the upcoming Holiday season. The clear and unequivocal focal point of the shoe rests in the blood red splattering across the white canvas upper. Other subtle aspects of the shoe include a cream nubuck vamp, eyestay and a grey suede swoosh.

For those of you riding the whole Twilight/True Blood vampire trend, perhaps these kicks will provide the final touch to this year’s Halloween costume.

Alife Everybody Mid Black Suede Pack

Posted: 15 Sep 2009 11:28 AM PDT

Alife Everybody Mid

Alife has dressed the Everybody Mid in black suede for this fall. The Black Suede pack possesses two pairs of the Everybody silhouette each with an all-black upper comprised of suede and leather piping.

It seems Alife has embraced the age-old blue vs. pink color contrast brought to us all by the archetypal infant-yielding stork. Scoop either colorway at Flauge and decide whether you prefer to embrace the color consistent with your gender or flout the norm and don the “supposed” other sex’s color.

Nike Air Structure Triax 91 Electric Green/Blue Sapphire

Posted: 15 Sep 2009 10:58 AM PDT

Nike Air Structure Triax 91The Nike Air Structure Triax 91 has been releasing in a broad range of colorways as of late, including the Premium Brown/Black/Purple and the lesser-loved Black/Pink/Red, and now we get our first look at a clean, nearly all-white model for Spring 2010.

This pair is a great example of what can be done with a white base and just a few well-placed accents. The Blue Sapphire swoosh stitching and outsole jump off the base first, as does the blue patent leather on the heel. Two other nice details are the switch to white patent leather on the swoosh and pearl white on the heel cap. Electric Green appears on the stitched Nike logos and the heel Air unit, as well as the outer plastic top lace hole surround.

With Fall and Winter still in store for 2009, is it too early to get pumped for these 2010 releases?

Vans Mid Skool ‘77

Vans Mid Skool 77

In mid-June, we showed you the upcoming Vans Mid Skool ‘77 lineup in which many of you did not show a lot of interest in. However, for some, it is a quick break from the numerous Old Skool colorways we see on a regular basis. With that said, Vans has released the sky blue colorway of the Mid Skool ‘77 on its online store.

It features an all-suede, sky blue upper with minimal white details on the side panels (Vans stripe logo), tongue, shoelaces and heel panel. To coincide with the white details, this shoe also contains a traditional white rubber sole. This shoe, along with the previously mentioned colorways, is now available at Vans’s online store for $55.

Nike Zoom LeBron Ambassador II ORAP

Posted: 15 Sep 2009 09:58 AM PDT

Nike Zoom Ambassador II ORAPPics of LeBron’s second take on the Ambassador namesake, the Ambassador II, surfaced back in March first, and we recently saw pics of LBJ wearing them on his Asia Pacific Tour, but now we have some detailed photos of this low-cut silhouette, with China’s countryside as a backdrop.

The “ORAP” moniker is a new one, standing for “Outdoor Rubber Asia Pacific.” As mentioned in the aforementioned article, this specific model is designed as a cheaper alternative to the already familiar Air Max LeBron VII. Like the Soldier III XDR, this model features tougher rubber on the outsole, allowing outdoor play with a longer lifespan than traditional sneakers. The design is nice and simple, featuring an almost entirely-white upper, though heavily branded, highlighted with grey and red accents, all over a black midsole and red outsole.

In one of the most populous countries in the world, where space is a premium and an open court a luxury, it’s nice to see a sneaker designed for playing ball wherever a hoop can be posted.
