Nike SB Dunk High “Gucci” Sample

Posted: 25 Sep 2009 12:58 PM PDT

Nike SB Dunk High "Gucci" SampleThe “Gucci” colorway Dunk is a much sought-after SB, with a nearly-identical non-SB dropping lately in the DJ Clark Kent-designed “East” Dunk. But if you’re after the real deal, a 2009 sample in size 9 is on eBay.

This sample uses dark denim and green canvas on the upper. A red Swoosh and heel tab work as accents, and ton the outsole as well. The white midsole gets contrast from green stitching. The aforementioned non-SB Dunks are very similar in their colorway, with differences coming in the subtleties of each design, such as material choice.

Nike Vandal High Supreme Vintage

Posted: 25 Sep 2009 12:28 PM PDT

Nike Vandal High Supreme VintageNike’s classic silhouettes have been given the vintage treatment a lot as of late, connecting the old-school appeal of some of these models with the feeling of un-boxing a fresh new pair of sneaks. The Blazer went vintage last, with two simple colorway releases, and now the Vandal High is coming in two less-subtle versions.

A magenta color and a black color-up will release in October. Each uses a metallic Swoosh and a multi-colored ankle strap. The wrinkly nylon uppers work with the intentionally yellowing sole as part of the vintage look.

Nike Big Nike High “LBC”

Posted: 25 Sep 2009 11:58 AM PDT

Nike Big Nike High "LBC"Snoop’s hometown is paid tribute in this upcoming release, a Nike Big Nike High, draped in purple and black.

It’s a little surprising that no yellow made its way on to this tribute sneaker as a Lakers tribute. Instead, black, purple and white are the the choice leathers. The white portions are diamond-pattern perforated and the other sections are patent leather. On the heel, the namesake big “Nike” is gne and replaced with large “LBC” block letters. These will release tomorrow, 9/26, at Proper.

Would Snoop co-sign on these Long Beach-dedicated Nikes?

Head to the comments board and weigh in.
