Vans Chukka Boot

Many of you have been pleased with the upcoming fall/winter releases from Vans including the Del Barco LX and the Switchback. In addition, Vans has just unleashed a new colorway of the Chukka Boot.

This particular Chukka Boot is obviously different from the previous pairs seeing that it does not contain any shades of brown, olive green or black (the usual fall/winter colors). Instead, this Chukka Boot features a 100% vapor blue base combined with a vulcanized rubber sole and shoelaces of the same color. It is now available at Vans’s online store for $60.

STLN RCHS x Reebok Pump

Posted: 03 Nov 2009 12:28 PM PST

The next in the long line of Reebok Pump collabs is the only one we’ll get from our neighbors to the north. Toronto’s Stolen Riches has worked up their own take on the classic Reebok as a part of the 20th anniversary celebration.

The Canadian crew wanted to create a limited edition sneaker that could actually be worn; in bad weather no less. Having been built to battle the Toronto winter weather, the uppers on these have been Teflon treated to resist snow and water, and are charcoal with grey pinstripes. If you can see pass the tags, the white midsole sits on a “Black Ice” outsole and charcoal grey accents appear throughout.

Nike Cradle Rock Low Steve Nash "Home"

A hit or miss with many of you, the Cradle Rock Low has been compared to the Nike Dunk by many, but with the advantage of being created for a point guard with some of the fleetest feet in the NBA. In fact, we saw Steve Nash wearing these exact Cradle Rocks in Kicks on Court yesterday.

This particular pair uses a white leather makeup for the upper, mixing in purple accents on the stitching, outsole and Swoosh. The tongue and heel tab are both done with a purple and black flannel, while orange eyelets finish off the Suns colorway. The Kobe IV started the low-top hoops shoe craze. Could the Cradle Rock Low keep it going strong?

Nike Trainer 1 “Mac Knows”

Nike Trainer 1 "Mac Knows"

Just yesterday we showed you Bo’s Trainer 1, and now we get a look at one designed for maybe the most outspoken personality in the history of sports–John McEnroe. You may be saying to yourself, “Johnny Mac gets a PE? You cannot be serious!” But serious we are, as Nike’s changed up the “Chlorophyll” colorway up a bit and made a few changes to it, dedicating this to the first guy to make it okay to put “tennis” and “fun to watch” in the same sentence.

For this particular sneaker, Nike uses grey nubuck and white leather, accented throughout with bits of black on the midsole and forefoot. Lime green accents throughout brighten up the colorway a bit. Near the heel we saw a silhouette of McEnroe, while the tongue tab reads “Mac Knows.” Completing the shoe is the tennis ball-inspired insole. Look for these sometime this month.

Nike Zoom Kobe V “Chaos”

Posted: 03 Nov 2009 09:58 AM PST

Nike Zoom Kobe V

From December 2008 up until now, we have seen almost every colorway you can think of on the Nike Zoom Kobe IV. It was obviously one of the most innovative sneakers ever produced from Nike Basketball, and it was well-received by both basketball players and non-basketball players (it was voted Best Signature Sneaker in our Kicks On Court Awards). However, there comes a point in time when the average sneaker enthusiasts wants to see something different. Therefore, Nike has answered our cries by confirming the upcoming Nike Zoom Kobe V sneaker.

On December 26th, 2009, Nike will unleash the first colorway of the Kobe V dubbed the “Chaos”. If you recall, Nike unveiled a “Chaos” colorway of the Kobe IV at the beginning of this year. This Kobe V possesses a multi-colored upper consisting of foil-like side panels, a lime-colored swoosh, red/black shoelaces, a purple patent leather toe area and a heel panel and toe area of the same color. It is also finished with a lime outsole and a white/red speckled midsole. As for the overall design, the Kobe V owns a similar, low-cut design of the Kobe IV, yet, its collar and heel panel section seems more fit for ankle support. Click here to view detailed photos. What’s your thought on the Nike Zoom Kobe V?
