adidas Originals Five-Two 3 City Artist Pack

adidas Originals Five-Two 3 City Artist Pack

adidas has really stepped their collaboration status up lately, working with industry-leading retailers like Bodega and Undefeated on recent packs. Next up is the Five-Two 3 City Artist Pack, which pairs the footwear company with five artists from five major international art hotbeds.

London’s Pochoir worked on a Superstar, making the heel area appear like a worn-down brick wall. From Italy, photographer Fakso went to work on the Nizza High, dressing it in black accents on yellow tone photo. French influence is seen in the gold Flor De Lis that appear over blue nubuck on the KRSN x Stan Smith 80. Japanese-influenced New York transplant Dalek dressed a Forum Mid with his Space Monkey character and multiple shades of grey on a black leather base. The fifth and final shoe in the pack is an adidas Samba designed by MADSAKI, who is based out of Tokyo. The wildest of the bunch, MADSAKI concepted a flap over the laces, changing the original Samba silhouette drastically.

Nike Dynasty High Dark Army QS

Nike Dynasty High Dark Army QS

These may not be as rugged as a real combat boot, but the “Dark Army” Nike Dynasty High QS use their dark green hue to give off a very intimidating look. Like the most previous Dynasty’s we saw, which were all grey, these use a single color for the entirety of their uppers.

All leather, with the exception of the nylon padded tongue, the Dark Army green contrasts the white midsole and matches the outsole perfectly. Woven material is used for the high ankle strap and “Nike” appears near the ankle, also. These are available at select retailer now, but be sure to check with your local QS account holder. Are you a Dynasty fan?

Sneaker Freaker x New Balance 850 "Skippy" Detailed Pics

Yesterday we got a glimpse of Sneaker Freaker’s “Skippy the Kangaroo” video promoting their sneaker with New Balance, which was creative if nothing else. And now today, the Aussie team behind the Sneaker Freaker x New Balance 850 sent us over these detailed images, showing the nooks and crannies of this lesser-known silhouette.

The toe cap, as we know, is genuine kangaroo leather, carrying an orange-tan hue. The majority of the upper carries a black color-up, providing a dark base for the kangaroo and yellow accents to work against. Nubuck, leather and mesh combine in black, while an off-white midsole and white accents finish the colorway. These 850s will release December 5th internationally, and of course we’ll have more release information as the date nears.

Nike Air Footscape Granite/Granite-White

Posted: 11 Nov 2009 10:28 AM PST

Nike Air Footscape

This past summer, Nike released two stylish colorways of the Nike Air Footscape in which most of you did not particularly care for. However, three months later, we have now spotted what may be one of the better Footscape colorways yet.

This particular Footscape features a primarily granite-colored mesh texture throughout the side and heel panels. A darker granite color is also on the toe area among other places. Besides the white midsole and granite outsole, this shoe possesses finishing touches in the form of the red collar and tongue borders. Available now at Dunk. Click here to view detailed photos.

Nike Talache Mid AC ND Pack

Posted: 11 Nov 2009 09:58 AM PST

Nike Talache Mid SC ND Pack

The Nike Talache Mid is out in some new colorways, mixing materials and colors from opposite sides of the spectrum across the two-pair pack. We saw a Sail/Sail Talache similar to one of these, though that pair featured an off-white checkered pattern along the bottom. These next two provide some options, as one looks to keep it summer year-round while the other provides a boot-like aesthetic.

One pair uses a “rustic” brown color, dressing the upper with nubuck throughout. Slight accents come from the red eyestays on the top and the black six-pack of dots and vulcanized sole striping. The other pair is dressed in “sail” white leather, and is accented with hyper blue on the liner and in the same spots where black is used on the other pair. The Talache has been a polarizing shoe, as some readers have immediately deemed it ugly, while others are in to its non-performance style. Which camp are you in?
