Supra Skytop II Metallic Gold

Posted: 17 Nov 2009 12:58 PM PST

Supra Skytop II Metallic Gold

As if you expected anything else, the Supra Skytop II has proven to be a polarizing silhouette. Like the first go at the super high Skytop, this Supra has gained instant lovers and instant haters. The first look we got a few weeks ago was multiple shades of grey with hints of red, and this next pair jumped ahead with the outspoken colorways, using metallic gold for its upper.

These showed up on eBay recently, and unless you’re very tiny-footed, you’re out of luck on grabbing a wearable pair as they’re a size 6. The uppers are all metallic gold with hits of black on the midfoot and laces. Chad Muska’s name and “002″ appear on the Air Jordan 6-styled tongue, denoting that this is his second Skytop signature. Head to eBay if you’re looking to grab these.

Nike Air Max Rise Brandon Roy PEs

Posted: 17 Nov 2009 12:28 PM PST

Nike Air Max Rise

Earlier this month, we showed you the newly-designed Nike Air Max Rise in a white/black-blue color scheme, and there was both positive and negative remarks. Although this shoe doesn’t receive a lot of attention like the Hyperize or the Hypermax, is it suitable for you?

Nike will unleash Brandon Roy’s Nike Air Max Rise PEs later this month. Obviously, both colorways coincide perfectly with the Portland Trail Blazers. The ‘Away’ version features a predominately black-colored base with red accents, while the ‘Home’ version owns a mainly white-colored upper. In addition, its makeup details include a phylon midsole, a Max unit and a carbon weave in the heel. Click here to view detailed photo.

Nike Blazer High V Lux TZ

Nike Blazer High V Lux TZ

Your grandpa would love the straps on these, but that doesn’t mean you can’t. Velcro helps you avoid having to worry about tying these, and gives a whole new meaning to “staying strapped.” Nike’s next TZ Blazers are these High-top Lux models, meaning the leather is premium and full-grain.

Five velcro straps cross over the top of the standard Blazer silhouette, giving a very different look to these from your traditional laced model. The standard vulcanized sole has also been changed, as a different texture is used here, in a matching black hue. The last black Blazer we saw came in the HUF x Nike SB Capsule Collection, and it somehow could not have looked less similar. Which look do you prefer–All black or Americana?

Reebok PUMP 20 “Bringback” Pack

Posted: 17 Nov 2009 11:28 AM PST

Reebok PUMP 20

Besides the plethora of collaborative Pumps we have seen over the past month, Reebok will unleash the original PUMP colorways at select Reebok retailers soon.

One pair will feature a predominately black premium leather base combined with white accents throughout the entire upper. Yet, its most evident features appear in the form of the basketball leather-colored accents, namely the timeless 'Pump' accent on the tongue. The remaining pair owns the same attributes, yet it is done up in a white/white color scheme. This pack will be available at 24 Kilates on November 20th, 2009. Click here to view detailed photos.

Nike Trainer 1 Troy Polamalu & Larry Fitzgerald PEs

Nike Trainer 1 Troy Polamalu & Larry Fitzgerald PEs

You thought that Nike was going to make PEs for the NFL’s elite and leave out the two most dangerous players in the league? Leaving Larry “Fitz” Fitzgerald open anywhere on the field is a danger to your team. Crossing Troy Polamalu is just a danger to your health. Add these in with the Adrian Peterson PEs we saw some time ago, and it looks like the complete arsenal for Nike–land, air and D.

Fitz’s feature a red and white upper with the standard red Free and Air sole. Silver is also used on the midfoot and toe, and his number 11 appears near the heel. Just like Fitz himself, these PEs are understated and plain by receiver standards, but we all know about looks being deceiving. The Polamalu PEs feature the Steelers’ gold and black, as well as white. “Nike” appears in stencil lettering on the heels, adding to the blue collar work ethic of the city of Pittsburgh and their team. Both pairs are currently available on Nike.com.

Are these some of your favorite Trainer 1s?

Converse Skateboarding

Converse Skaetboarding has captured the eyes of many sneaker enthusiasts since photos first appeared on the web. Converse has now incorporated some of its skateboarding silhouettes in an upcoming collection alongside Thrasher.

To coincide with Thrasher’s new video dubbed “Prevent This Tragedy”, Converse created a few new designs using models such as the CTS OX and mid. All three sneakers feature an all-black canvas upper with minimal color accents on the tongue and line design just above the white vulcanized rubber sole (one of the CTS OX’s possesses a gum bottom). The Mid version features the words, Prevent this Tragedy on the sole. Available now at ConverseSkateboarding. Click here to view detailed photos.

Kicks/HI x Reebok Pump

Kicks/HI x Reebok Pump

Hawaii’s resident sneaker palace Kicks/HI paired up with Reebok on their own Pump for the 20th anniversary, drawing inspiration for what surrounds them–literally. These Pumps use multiple shades of blue to pay tribute to the Pacific Ocean.

Officially, Kicks/HI is taking inspiration from the Hawaiian phrase “Mai Huli 'Oe I Kokua O Ke Kai,” which translates loosely to “Never turn your back on the ocean.” Multiple shades of blue, including patent navy around the toe, are used for the upper, as well as white, perfectly reflecting the look of a large wave. A gum outsole represents the sand of the beach under the waves. Like the others, these will drop in very limited quantity on November 21st, with 10 pairs going to the online store.

Favorite Pump collaboration yet? Head to the comments section and weigh in on these.
