Missoni for Converse Posted: 19 Dec 2009 09:23 PM PST These two Chuck Taylor Hi-tops are the result of work between high-end clothier, Missoni, and Converse. Each Chuck’s canvas is stamped with Missoni’s trademark zigzag pattern. The patterns are colored in with hues that coincide with Missoni’s Fall/Winter 2010 Men’s collection. The Chucks retain their white rubber toe cap and sole but do lose the common black foxing stripe encompassing the midsole. Angela Missoni, the brand’s Creative Director, is quoted for choosing the Chuck Taylor because “…it’s the one that girls and boys of all times have liked to wear and is still the coolest today.” The Missoni for Converse Chuck Taylor All Star is scheduled for an April release and will be price marked at $200. The shoe’s availability will be limited to the Missoni stores in New York and Beverly Hills, Jeffrey in New York and Atlanta, and a handful of international boutiques. | Read the rest of Missoni for Converse © Bert Geyer for NiceKicks.com, 2009. | Permalink | 7 comments | Add to del.icio.us Post tags: Chuck Taylor All Star, Converse, Missoni |
Air Jordan 2010 Outdoor Posted: 19 Dec 2009 08:39 PM PST It looks as if Jordan Brand will be serving up a rugged twin to accompany the release of the refined Air Jordan 2010. The pictured Jordan is the Air Jordan 2010 “Outdoor.” This version retains a lot of the indoor 2010’s design language in its midsole, branding, and overall silhouette. The Outdoor 2010 has, however, received some significant alterations. The most prominent of these adjustments include: the omission of the contestable “window,” a heavily reinforced toecap, cross straps a la Air Jordan VIII, and the overall use of coarser, abrasion-tolerant materials. These amendments are all, of course, intended to make the Air Jordan 2010 more suitable for asphalt. Flip the post for a view of a White/Red/Black colorway. What do you think? In general appeal, is the Outdoor Air Jordan 2010 better, worse, or equal to the Indoor Air Jordan 2010? | Read the rest of Air Jordan 2010 Outdoor © Bert Geyer for NiceKicks.com, 2009. | Permalink | 55 comments | Add to del.icio.us Post tags: Air Jordan, Air Jordan 2010 |
