Nike Trainer 1 Low SL

Nike Trainer 1 Low SL

The Nike Trainer 1 has proven itself as an incredibly versatile performance sneaker since its inception in the last year. With its minimal weight and high level of comfort, the Free forefoot sole was icing on the cake. The only way to make it better seemed to be just what Nike has done for the Low SL.

The Trainer 1 Low SL uses Flywire technology to drop weight even further, as well as add an even more performance-oriented aesthetic to the shoe. As for right now, three color-ups have hit NikeStore.com. The first uses the proven all-black look, with bits of silver interjecting on the Flywire and Swoosh. The next two pairs uses a white midsole with either blue or red on the mid-panel and shades of grey throughout. Has the addition of Flywire made these more desirable to you, or should Nike have let them be?

Nike Air Max LeBron VII Low “I Lion NY” Sample

Posted: 29 Dec 2009 10:28 AM PST

http://nicekicks.com/2009/12/nike-air-max-lebron-vii-low-i-lion-ny-sample

LeBron’s future in Cleveland is in doubt, as speculation continues to rise about where he’ll play next season. A move to New York may raise his superstar status, but cold likely set back his hunt for a ring by a few years. And if rumor mills weren’t doing enough to further said speculation, this Nike Air Max LeBron VII Low is sure to make things worse.

This Low uses a very similar colorway to the regular version we saw LBJ wear with the Cavs’ Hardwood Classics jerseys a few weeks ago. This pair may use the old school Cleveland color palette, but make no mistake about it–these were created to pay tribute to LeBron’s fanhood of the city of New York. Blue perforated pigskin makes up the upper, while a white liner matches up with the midsole. Orange accents on the tongue match the stripe on the upper, outsole and laces speckles. The most important design element for this pair is definitely the underside bubble though, where “I [Lion logo] NY” appears. LeBron’s future may be left to speculation, but then again, so is the release of this pair.

It simply features a winter-ready brown suede base combined with a white vulcanized rubber sole. However, one of the more interesting elements on this shoe is the shearling lining to keep one’s feet warm. Other attributes include white shoelaces, a brown Vans tongue logo (pink letters) and a pink line design throughout the sole. Available at Vans’s online store for $65.
