Nike iD Air Max 1 New Color Options

The Nike Air Max 1 is a long-time favorite of runner and sneakerheads alike. Aside from its retro release in OG colors this past year, the AM1 kept things going by being added to the Nike iD design studio. But recently, Nike added yet another option, as some new colors just made their way onto the palette.

Marina Blue and Electric Green both became available on multiple areas of the shoe. In addition to that, Julep was also added for the different parts of the upper. Julep will appear on a 1 later this year, as previewed in our Sportswear Spring Preview, but this options means you can vary your look a little, and go custom with a pair. Special thanks to our reader jibbycanoe for the heads up.

Air Jordan 9 Retro 2010 Preview

Last week, we showcased the Air Jordan 9 Retro “Citrus” as part of the 10 Sneakers We’re Looking Forward to in 2010, and many of you expressed your excitement for the return of the Air Jordan 9. With that said, there will be at least two more Air Jordan 9 colorways that will surface this year.

First off, Jordan Brand will release the aforementioned Air Jordan 9 “Citrus” during the summer. However, in the fall, we will see the release of the two classic Air Jordan 9 colorways in the form of the white/black-red (August 2010) and the “Charcoal” (September 2010). The latter colorway hasn’t been seen since it first released in 1994, while the white/black-red Air Jordan 9s were just seen in 2008 as part of the Countdown Packs. Who else is excited about the return of the Air Jordan 9s? Click here to view the lineup in its entirety.

Nike Blazer Low AC Grey/Teal

Nike Blazer Low AC

The velcro-strapped Nike Blazer has been a well-received model since we first saw its debut. From the black leather Lux V to the Dark Cinder Highs, the straps have proven attractive not only to the lazy, but also to the regular sneakerhead.

This pair we see here hasn’t released, but is available on eBay in sample size 9. Teal accents appear on the tongue label, on the sock liner and in leather on the Swoosh. Unlike the High models we see linked above, the Low AC features only three straps, but does feature the same vulcanized and textured sole.

Reebok Basquiat Untitled

Reebok Basquiat Untitled

In 2009, Reebok released a few sneakers designed by Jean Michel Basquiat, namely the Ex-O-Fit. Basquiat now applies his designs to yet another Reebok silhouette in the form of this running model.

This particular sneaker can potentially turn heads thanks to its rich green leather that makes up 100% of the base. It also owns some hints of gold throughout the upper as well. However, its most distinctive attributes are seen in the form of unidentified scripts written on the midsole and heel. Other features include white shoelaces, a monochromatic Reebok logo on the side panels and the word Basquiat written on the tongue. What are your thoughts on this Basquiat-assisted Reebok running sneaker? Click here to view detailed photos.

Posted: 06 Jan 2010 10:58 AM PST

nike-air-footscape-2

The Nike Air Footscape has proven to be a very love-it or hate-it silhouette. With its crooked midfoot and laces, moccasin design and overall unique look, this shoe has garnered a lot of followers and as many haters. The best way to further a shoe like this one’s ongoing reputation? Dress it in bright green.

The upper uses Electric Green for the majority of the upper, while black is used on the toe. The midsole is done in white with a black outsole, while hits of grey are used throughout, including the plastic semi-transparent piece on the heel.

Reebok Pump AxtPlus Black/Gold-White

Reebok Pump AxtPlus Black/Gold-White

This past year, Reebok brought its Pump technology back into limelight by unveiling its Pump 20 Program and re-releasing the “Bringbacks”. However, if you’re looking for an alternative to those respective sneakers, Reebok has now unleashed the Pump AxtPlus at select retailers such as CaliRoots.

Although this Reebok sneaker is not as popular as the aforementioned models, it still is considered a quality shoe. The Reebok Pump AxtPlus is a very comfortable sneaker seeing that it incorporates HexRide technology. As for the colorway, this shoe owns a predominately black leather base with multiple gold accents including the Pump on the tongue. It is also finished with a white midsole giving a nice, clean look. Nike Lunar Rejuven8 Mid+ Black/Varsity Maize

Torch is finally making its debut in various Nike models to start 2010. We took a full look at this new material in an Air Force 1 and an Air Maxim 1, and also in the Rejuven8 Mid. What we’re seeing here is another colorway of the latter shoe, done in a LIVESTRONG-esque colorway.

This shoe was designed for footballers (”soccer players” here in the States) to wear after practice and games for ultimate comfort. The Lunarlite sole is done completely in Varsity Maize, and includes Nike+ technology. The upper’s done in black completely. The mesh weave material that covers the shoe’s Torch infrastructure matches up with nubuck on the heel, Swoosh and midfoot. These have hit select retailers, but are available online at Kix-Files.
