Nike Air Max 90 White/Obsidian

Nike Air Max 90 White/Obsidian

Most of the country is only a few months away from being able to break out their white kicks. And if you’re a fan of classic Nike runners, these Air Max 90s may need to make their way in to your closet.

White leather is used on the mid-panel and mudguard. Perforation has been added to the leather used on the toe box. The mid- and outsole are both done in all white, as is most of the shoe itself. Obsidian leather is used on the forefoot and Swoosh, and ripstop nylon appears near the ankle in the same color.

Nike Air 180 2010 Preview

A couple of months ago, we showed you a white/volt Nike Air 180 that will be available some time this spring. Now, photos of two more upcoming Air 180s have surfaced on the web.

Both pairs feature colorways that have shown up on previous, classic sneakers. One pair features a Nike Air Max 90 Infrared inspired color scheme. It uses a predominately white and off-white colored base comprised of suede and mesh. Infrared and black accents appear throughout the rear of the shoe. The other pair owns an Air Jordan VIII “Aqua” inspired colorway using a primarily black upper comprised of the same textures. Look for both Air 180s to release later this year. What are your thoughts on both colorways? Click here to view more photos.

Jordan Team Georgetown Hoyas PEs

Jordan Team Georgetown Hoyas PEs

The high school hoops squad at Oak Hill Academy aren’t the only team blessed with Jordan team PEs. The Georgetown University Hoyas basketball team has been given their own set of PEs in the Hallowed Ground and Ol’ School III.

Both pairs have been done with grey nubuck and white leather, with accents in navy blue. The Ol’ School III uses the Hoyas-specific print along the midsole. We last saw this print in grey-scale on a Nike Dynasty High. The Hallowed Ground uses blue on the Air Jordan 10-inspired sole, and both use it for the Jumpman logo on the upper.

Vans Chukka Low Alex Olson

At the end of December, we showed you the entire Vans Chukka Low Team Series which represented the likes of Chima Ferguson, Keegan Sauder, Chris Pfanner and Alex Olson. The latter colorway is now available at Vans’s online store for $55.

This particular Chukka Low simply features a 100% metallic silver base combined with a  traditional, white vulcanized rubber sole. It also owns black shoelaces and a black line design at the top of the sole giving it a nice color contrast. As stated earlier, it is now available at Vans’s online store along with other colorways.

Nike Hyperdunk Low “McFly”

Posted: 26 Jan 2010 10:58 AM PST

Nike Hyperdunk Low "Marty McFly"The Hyperdunk “Marty McFly” received rave reviews and had a huge following from the first time we saw it. The Hyperdunk would be the only basketball shoe with this colorway to officially release before a legal mess occurred, which resulted in the cancellation of the Hypermax. It was way back in June that the Hyperdunk Low “Marty McFly” first appeared on Nice Kicks as a digital rendering, but now a sample pair has hit eBay.

The price is hefty, but it’s safe to assume that there are only a few pairs in existence. Light grey is used on the toe and midfoot to match the Flywire and midsole. Blue surrounds the Swoosh, is used on the arch piece, and appears in speckle form on the midsole. “Hyperdunk” appears on the tongue in a bright red-orange color.

Kicks On Court

Lately, the MVPuppets have been busy making music videos and setting the world on fire…literally. Fresh off of the heels of the Foot Locker store burning, we now have spotted both characters on t-shirts. Don’t get it confused…they did not pass away in the fire.

Photos of two MVPuppets All-Star tees have surfaced on the web. One shirt appears in all-black with the Kobe MVPuppet dressed in a red jersey, while the other shirt is all-navy blue with the LeBron MVPuppet dressed in a blue jersey. No word on when these tees will release, but we’re pretty sure they will be available around All-Star Weekend in mid-February.

Crayola x Vans Preview

Crayola x Vans Preview

If there’s one brand that knows color, it’s Crayola. And if there’s one brand that’s mastered transplanting those colors onto its simple silhouettes, it’s Vans. The two have paired up for this collection, which we’re seeing now for the first time.

What look to be splatters and speckles are actually a result of the space left “uncolored” by crayons. The Authentic, Sk8 Hi and Slip-On have all been given this treatment. The Slip-On uses the classic checkerboard pattern with multiple colors, while most of the Authentics use solid colors. The stripe at the top of the vulcanized sole has been given the same Crayola hand drawn approach. The lace tips are also designed with the stripes straight off of the crayon wrappers.
