Asics GT-II for Spring

Posted: 29 Jan 2010 12:58 PM PST

asics-gt-ii-for-spring-lead

We opened today with an Asics Gel Lyte Speed that immediately drew attention from our readers. To keep that momentum going, we have a look at two freshly-released GT-IIs for Spring.

Both colorways are intended to catch an eye or two with their very bright builds. The first relies on purple nubuck for support. Matching mesh is put to work on the toe box and mid-panel, while electric blue is used on the Asics arch design and near the ankle. Touhes of mint green are also used on the liner and outsole. The other pair uses a similar construction, but relies on bright orange for its majority with yellow accents. The same electric blue from the other pair is used on the liner and a bit on the outsole.

Nike Lunar Kayoss

Nike Lunar Kayoss

Nike Training has, and will always continue to produce top-of-the-line silhouettes. In 2009, Nike brought back the Nike Air Trainer SC and debuted the Nike Trainer 1. Now, Nike has unleashed its new cross-training model dubbed the Lunar Kayoss in multiple colorways.

The Lunar Kayoss features a combination of some of Nike’s new technology such as flywire and Lunarlite foam. It also owns a heel stabilizer similar to the Air Huarache runner. Four colorways are now available at Nike’s online store for $90. Click here to view the lineup in its entirety.

Nike Air Max 95 “Neon”

Nike Air Max 95 "Neon"

The Air Max 95 in Neon Yellow is arguably the most famous Nike runner ever. Alongside the Air Max 1 OGs and the 90s, these shoes changed the face of sneaker colorways as we know them, and still represent something special 15 years after their first release. While they did retro at the beginning of 2009, an additional production run has been produced for 2010, and the first sets of them have been made available at end.

The original gradient pattern in shades of grey and black still appears along the sides. Neon Yellow attributes are used on the lace loops, laces, Swoosh and full-length Air Max bubbles. It’s probably only a matter of time before these make their way stateside, but for those of you have to have them early, click the link above.

Nike Big Nike High “Green Splatter”

Nike Big Nike High "Green Splatter"

As the first Big Nike we’ve seen in 2010, this shoe had to come with something unique. And the “Green Splatter” has done just that.

The entire upper is constructed with leather. The treatment though, appears as though bleach splashes have hit green cloth, creating a splatter effect. Grey fleece lines the shoe and appears again on the Swoosh. A matching outsole is also used. The only black that appears on the entire shoe is found on the “NIKE” on the heel. These are available overseas now, but will hopefully hit stores stateside soon.

Nike Lunar Soldier IV Wear Test Sample

Nike Lunar Soldier IV Wear Test Sample

When we showed you preliminary photos of the Nike Zoom LeBron Soldier IV TB, there were both positive and negative remarks on this shoe. The big, bulky look is definitely not for everybody. However, we have spotted a wear test sample of what Nike was cooking up for LeBron in the midst of creating the final product.

This is an actual wear test sample of what may have been the Nike Zoom LeBron Soldier IV at one point. Therefore, it features no personal logos and only contains one Nike swoosh located just below the collar. From what we can see, Nike seems to have incorporated Lunar Foam and flywire. Would you have preferred this over the actual Nike Zoom LeBron Soldier IV TB? If so, you can bid on this pair by way of eBay.

Nike SB Zoom P-Rod III Royal Blue/White

Not too long ago we previewed both the Nike SB P-Rod 2.5 and P-Rod 4. Without getting too far ahead of ourselves, the Nike SB Zoom P-Rod III is still going strong.

This next color-up should be hitting retailers soon, and uses a Royal Blue suede build. On the toe cap and near the heel, a Safari-esque print is utilized with touches of black. The white leather Swoosh matches up with the midsole and laces. Black is used throughout to further accentuate the bright blue colorway and help it further “pop.”Look for these at your local SB dealer soon.
