This Week In Sneaks

This Week in Sneaks

After a plethora of photos and release date confusion, the “Copper” Nike Air Foamposite finally released today.

Los Angeles Clippers point guard Bobby Brown and New York Knicks forward Jared Jeffries wore some fresh Jordan sneakers that we never thought we’d see on court. With that said, check out our Kicks On Court to see these rare Jordan sneakers.

A lot of you have been skeptical about the invisible-like window that appears on the side panel of the Air Jordan 2010. However, this is not the only sneaker that has featured a transparent attribute on the base. Check out our See My Socks? History of Invisible Shoes.

Do you own deastock sneakers or are you the type to wear every sneaker you purchase? Check out REE’s second edition of SN’EADS titled “Deadstock Grails”.

Last Sunday, the New Orleans Saints won their first Super Bowl in franchise history. In honor of their win, we compiled a list of 23 Black & Gold Sneakers for the "Who Dat?" Nation.

Earlier this week, we spotted a Nike Trainer 1 on the NBA courts to our surprise. Is the Trainer 1 ideal for the hardwood?

Nike Air Max LeBron VII P.S. “POP”

Posted: 13 Feb 2010 10:28 AM PST

Nike Air Max LeBron VII P.S. "POP"

LeBron is in a great position to get his second MVP trophy this season. He’s also in a great position to get a second version of his signature sneaker for this season. The Nike Air Max LeBron VII P.S. we saw for the first time in detail recently, but this is the first we’ve seen this white and black pair.

Similar to the “Concord” Air Jordan 11, a white upper is wrapped with textured black patent leather on the mudguard. An icy sole is also present. Red is absent from the Flywire, unlike the previous pairs we’ve seen, but remains on the heel logo and pull tab. “POP” reportedly stands for “Playoff Pack,” but no release information can be confirmed for these or the other two colorways just yet, let alone whether they’ll drop together.

Chad Muska In Store at DQM

Posted: 13 Feb 2010 12:15 AM PST

Supra Skytop HeartbreakerTomorrow is a BIG day for sneaker releases. But if your significant other knows anything about you, they won’t have their heart broken when V-day dinner dough was dropped on kicks instead of dinner.

Supra is getting in on the action of Valentines Day themed sneakers with a cynical take on the Hallmark manufactured holiday. The ‘Heartbreaker’ Supra Skytop comes dressed in a solid red cavas upper, but will break the hearts of many heads as it drops in super limited numbers at only a handful of shops.

NY heads can rely once again on DQM to keep them laced for this release. In addition to copping the kicks, Supra’s Chad Muska will be on hand doing autographs at an instore event at DQM starting at 11AM. Check out the full flyer after the break.

adidas Trefoil Hi

adidas Trefoil Hi

Aggressive, audacious, or ostentatious, however you care to describe these shoes, there is no doubt that they are adidas. The unquestionable branding may be attributed to the trefoil claw that reaches from the shoe’s collar and clutches to the wearer’s calf. From sole to collar, the shoes appear to be just a high cut version of the classic adidas Stan Smith. Yet the extrapolation flies off the charts as the collar begins to rise from its traditional low cut. Below Cerberus, sits a clean grey leather sneaker with neon yellow accenting.

Flip the post for more photos. And if you’re looking for a sneaker higher than the Skytop IIs, hit Zozotown to cop yourself a pair.

Converse Chuck Taylor - Sweatshirt Hi

Converse Chuck Taylor - Sweatshirt Hi

This Chuck Taylor Sweatshirt Hi is a recent construct from the Converse team. The canvas that usually holds its own atop the All Star sole is supplanted with a heavy heather gray cotton. Aside from this material change, all the other design mainstays of the Chuck Taylor remain intact. A red foxing strip is strategically placed around the top of the midsole and thereby defines the upper, toe box, and midsole. The lining of the shoe is unfinished just as your grizzled sweatshirt.

Hit the flipside for plenty more pictures and head to Sneakersnstuff or other Converse retailers to purchase a pair.

Evisu x Common Projects - Fall 2010

Evisu x Common Projects - Fall 2010

Evisu and Common Projects have collaborated for a looming Fall 2010 line. The link seems proper as both brands serve a similar consumer. And this consumer desires minimalist sneakers to compliment their premium denim. This collection marks the inaugural Evisu collaboration under the tenure of new Creative Director, Scott Morrison.

There will be six shoes within the line: three low tops and three high tops. Each cut will possess three separate color-ups: white, navy, and black. All six uppers are covered in leather and bear the Common Projects stamp-in foil-on the heel.  The low tops will retail for $165 and the high tops will retail for $185. Flip the post for individual photos of all the shoes.
