Video: Slick x adidas Originals Artillery

Posted: 01 Mar 2010 12:58 PM PST

Graffiti legend Slick paired up with adidas Originals to put together two pairs of Artillerys for the upcoming season. In the above video, we see the artist prepare his canvas, bomb a wall and discuss the sneakers and his upbringing.

From the looks of it, Slickwent two different directions with the pairs. One dons teal, yellow and purple, while the other relies on the tried-and-true black, white and red colorway. Both utilize his artistic touches throughout.

Nike Toki ND Medium Grey/Blue Sapphire

Posted: 01 Mar 2010 12:28 PM PST

Nike Toki ND

Following last month’s release of the Toki ND Black/Volt, Nike has now made the medium grey/blue sapphire Toki ND available at select retailers including 21 Mercer Street.

The Nike Toki is appreciated and well-received because of its simplicity. With that said, this particular colorway undoubtedly follows the silhouette’s lead. Its base is smothered in grey nubuck and possesses white trimming in certain sections. The blue sapphire accents, seen on the tongue branding and line design above the white sole, give this shoe a nice, contrasting color scheme. As stated earlier, you can puchase a pair at 21 Mercer Street. Is this one of the better Toki colorways to date?

Nike Hyperdunk & Zoom Kobe V “Aston Martin DB9″ Pack

Posted: 01 Mar 2010 11:58 AM PST

Nike Hyperdunk & Zoom Kobe V "Aston Martin DB9" Pack

When the Hyperdunk “Kobe Bryant x Aston martin DB9″ first surfaced, it seemed odd that Nike would pay tribute to a sneaker Kobe wore two years ago. It appears that they have bridged the gap, as the current Zoom Kobe V has been given the same treatment and will release alongside the aforementioned Hyperdunk.

A dark graphite grey covers the uppers of the ZKV, which matches the color of the Aston martin that appeared in the pack-inspiring commercial. A reg tongue logo and tan liner works to further the tie between the shoes and car. Special packaging included a silhouette of Kobe getting ready to leap over the vehicle with the phrase “That’s How You Do It” repeating all over. Final release dates have not yet been confirmed, but stay tuned for more details on the expected limited drop of the pack.

Jordan PHLY Legend Carmelo Anthony PE

Posted: 01 Mar 2010 11:28 AM PST

Jordan PHLY Legend

As of late, the Jordan PHLY Legend has rarely been seen in JB retailers; yet, when it does surfaces, the Jordan PHLY Legend seems to possess some nice, borrowed colorways (see “Georgetown Hoyas”, Infrared, White Cement). Now, photos of Carmelo Anthony’s PHLY Legend has surfaced on the web.

The base is comprised of mainly white pebbled leather with multiple mustard yellow hints throughout the upper. Specifically, the Jordan Wings logo, inner lining, laceholders and the line design just above the sole feature this accent color. To coincide with those details, the PHLY Legend also possesses a cement print design on the side of the toe area and the word ‘Melo’ near the collar area. Obviously, this Carmelo Anthony PE does not hold a torch to the “West All-Star” Air Jordan 2010 he wore a few weeks ago, however, what are your thoughts on this shoe? Nike Air Total Max Uptempo Grey/Red

Nike Air Total Max Uptempo Grey/Red

The classic Nike Air Total Max Uptempo has been seen in a number of new colorways lately. While the original Black/Volt look has long been a favorite of readers, the Black/Black-Pale Blue pair we saw recently immediately drew its fair share of attention. The pair we see here will hit retailers this weekend on March 6th.

Grey leather is used for the majority of the upper, as it appears along the ribbed sides and on the midfoot. The Swoosh and outsole are both red. The stripe that flows along the quarter panel is the first we’ve seen to use multiple colors, as a light grey base is contrasted by the red web design that darts all over. Where do these ranks among the colorways we’ve seen in this shoe’s illustrious history?

Nike Air Max 1 "Miami"

The Nike Air Max 1 has hit select retailers for Spring in this special colorway dedicated to the 305.

The first thing you’ll notice is the multicolored midsole, which features a gradient pattern, fading from bright yellow at the toe to bright green at the heel. We’ve seen a lot of speckled soles on the AM1 lately, but this is the first pair to feature this treatment this year. Matching the heel’s green are the Swoosh and heel embroidery. White with a hint of luster appears on the mudguard and quarter panel, while grey is in place on the forefoot and heel.
