Ransom by adidas Originals Creek Clay & Black

Ransom by adidas Originals Creek Black

The last two pairs of Ransom by adidas Originals Creeks we saw featured similar colors. It’s the construction choice for the two pairs we’re seeing now, which both just released at Kasina, that separates them from the others we’ve seen, as they are both draped in leather.

The first pair utilizes an all black upper. The sole features both grey and black, while optional bright red laces provide some contrast to the dark build. The second pair uses Clay, and again relies on leather for its entire upper. Its sole is white, and get helps from a hit of a lighter hue just above it. Both feature the Ransom logo with crossing swords design on near the heel.

Future Sole Carmelo

Earlier today, we showcased Carmelo Anthony debuting the “Future Sole” Jordan Melo M6 in our Kicks On Court. In case you didn’t know, this shoe was designed in a month’s time by 17-year-old Future Sole winner named Austin Jermacans. We’re sure Jermacans was already honored to have an NBA superstar wear his shoe in a game; however, Jermacans also got the chance to meet Carmelo Anthony in person and see his finished product in the flesh for the first time. Click here to view the video in which Jermacans meets Carmelo at his barber shop. Also, find out what inspired Jermacans to make this design and what Melo thinks about his new Jordan Melo M6.

adidas Campus 80s White/Snake

adidas Campus 80s White/Snake

The adidas Campus 80s has landed at select retailers in a wild new colorway. Keeping with a trend we’ve seen appear on numerous models lately, these get help from a certain slithery creature.

White leather covers the uppers, matching the sole and laces. Along the quarter panels, tan and brown snake skin is used for the construction of the triple stripe design. The heel panel uses the same material. This isn’t the first foray adidas has had with a white leather Campus utilizing an exotic animal, as many of you will surely recall the Street Mid “Ostrich” we saw release not too long ago.

Vans Sk8-Hi

We came across one of the better collaborative efforts of 2010 in the form of the Stussy x Haze x PRO-Keds Royal Plus. Stussy has now partnered with Vans for a two-set of the Sk8-Hi model.

Both Sk8-Hi pairs feature similar colorways used within the Stussy 25th Anniversary Project. One pair owns a primarily black and grey colored base, while the remaining pair possesses a primarily olive green upper. Each pair uses a classic suede uppers with printed graphic designs on the side panels/collar area. Other features include white shoelaces, white contrast stitching on the toe area and its nickname, ‘Black Sheep’, on the tongue. Look for the Sk8-Hi “Black Sheep” colorways to hit select Stussy retailers next month for $152.

adidas Originals Fortitude Mid Dark Sand

Posted: 04 Mar 2010 09:43 AM PST

adidas Originals Fortitude Mid Dark Sand

The adidas Originals Fortitude Mid was last seen in three very loud colorways. Those three shoes all utilized a neutral hue and near-neon accent colors for their respective color-ups. This next pair we see here goes a different direction, as it uses a more natural Dark Sand colorway.

Mutliple shades of brown and tan appear throughout the upper, which is constructed of leather and nubuck. The liner, collar and midfoot have all been done with an orange leather. Light blue cord laces match the lycra tongue and forefoot outsole. The three stripes along the quarter panels have been done in perforation. Expect these to hit shelves soon.

Kicks On Court: Carmelo Unveils the “Future Sole” Jordan Melo M6

Posted: 04 Mar 2010 08:58 AM PST

Kicks On Court

Yesterday, Carmelo Anthony revealed a photo of the “Future Sole” Jordan Melo M6 via Twitter. Along with the photo, Melo stated that he would wear this shoe last night in honor of Austin Jermacans, the 17-year-old that designed the shoe. Check out today’s Kicks On Court to see Anthony rocking this shoe on court.

Carmelo Anthony undoubtedly destroyed the Oklahoma City Thunder while wearing a black/university blue-gold colorway of the “Future Sole” Jordan Melo M6. Although this version features a very similar form to the regular Jordan Melo M6, there are many differences between the two. The side panels are done up in a mesh, net-like texture, while the collar area is covered in a black quilted, design pattern.  Its other distinctive attributes include gold laceholders, a stitched midsole and a university blue midfoot strap. We must tip our hat to the creative mind of Austin Jermacans for designing this sneaker! Carmelo Anthony should wear this sneaker more; he went for 30 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists (then again, he seems to post those numbers quite often). Click here to view more photos of these sneakers plus others worn by Kevin Durant, LeBron James and Mike Bibby.

In the above video, Joey Hernandez of Upset Gentleman (The group from “Miami Ink”) discusses his brand’s philosophy and how the ShoeGallery x Upset Gentleman x adidas ZX700 Boat project came about.

Hernandez explains that the luxurious materials on the shoe are representative of the lifestyle of Miami. As he explains it, boat culture is a large part of his community, so it was fitting to use a nautical theme for their collaboration. Hernandez also goes on to say that ShoeGallery is Miami’s premier sneaker and lifestyle brand that’s on par with Supreme or Undefeated. Check out the video above and click here to see some detailed photos of this unique collaboration.
