Nike Air More Uptempo

This upcoming holiday season is turning into one of the best in a very long time. Within the past couple of weeks, we have learned that the Nike Air CB34 and the Nike Air Go LWP. In addition, the ever-so-popular Nike Air More Uptempo will also hit retailers later this year.

The Air More Uptempo is a favorite amongst many thanks to its enlarged ‘AIR’ on the sides. Although most people associate this sneaker with MJ’s right hand man Scottie Pippen, the Air More Uptempo, which possesses a full-length Air sole, was not a part of his signature line. However, Pippen did wear a white/blue-red color scheme of this shoe during the 1996 Olympics. The Nike Air More Uptempo will release in the original black/white colorway and a black/white-orange colorway this holiday season. Who else is excited about this release?

DC Life Admiral Hi Violet/Fire

DC Life Admiral Hi Violet/Fire

The DC Life Spring collection has begun to hit select retailers, and leading the way is this Admiral Hi. The inspiration for this season is “Western Americana,” so many of the designs we’ll see draw cues from a road trip to the left coast.

This particular Admiral Hi uses Fire red leather on the midfoot and tongue, representing the sunsets one can only find in the desert. On the satin liner, a special print was designed to pay homage to the Native American influence found in the West. Violet leather works on the ankle and remainder of the upper. White laces match up with the sole, which features the DC Pill pattern on the underside. Hexagonal eyelets also work as a special detail. These are available now online at DC.

Video: NFL Players Choose Their Favorite Sneaker

Posted: 09 Mar 2010 08:13 AM PST

Nine NFL players were asked about their sneaker habits at a recent charity golf event, and some of the answers may surprise you. While a few of the players were able to narrow down the list of shoes they’ve owned in the past, others like quarterback Brian Brohm didn’t give much feedback.

The Saints’ Chip Vaughn chooses the Air Jordan 1 as his favorite, and can be seen sporting some Bred retros with argyle socks and an equally retro mustache. The video is short, but it provides some insight into the sneaker knowledge of some recognizable NFL players.
