Nike Dunk High “Patchwork” Preview

Posted: 12 Mar 2010 11:13 AM PST

Nike Dunk

Nike has released some nice Dunk colorways as of late such as the Dunk High AC Black/White-Pine Green, the Dunk Hi Grey/Challenge Red and the Dunk Low Premium Dark Chocolate/Beige-Silver. However, we have now spotted a photo of what to expect from the Dunk model later this year.

This Nike Dunk Hi “Patchwork” is definitely not for the subtle sneaker wearers to say the least. It features an all-over patchwork design using colors such as red, green, yellow and white. Its complimentary attributes include a white swoosh, white shoelaces, a white midsole and gum bottom. Are these Dunks too bizarre for you or are they perfect for the summer time? Stay tuned for additional information regarding this release.

Jordan Icons Black/Black-Varsity Red

Jordan Icons Black/Black-Varsity Red

The Jordan Icons is one of the better-received team shoes from JB in a while. Dropping in the same season as the 16.5, this shoe is poised to release in some very nice colorways. Numerous NBA players have been spotted in the Icons, including Juwan Howard, who sported this exact colorway in a game last night. Thanks to a heads up from Daily Drop, we know that you can grab this Black/Black-Varsity Red color-up online now.

Black leather and cloth construct the entire upper, while white stitching appears on the quarter panels. A red liner is used as an accent, like so almost all Jordans. Will the Icons ultimately prove to be an effective and stylish hoops sneaker for non-NBA caliber ballers? Only time will tell.

Kicks On Court: Brown Brings Out Air Jordan 14 “Last Shot”

Posted: 12 Mar 2010 09:43 AM PST

Kicks On Court

Earlier this year, Chicago Bulls guard/forward Devin Brown surprised many of us by wearing the Nike Trainer 1 on court. However, Devin Brown surprised us again by wearing a better basketball sneaker choice. Check out today’s Kicks On Court to see the classic sneakers Brown wore last night.

In a losing effort against the Orlando Magic, Devin Brown reminded us of His Airness by lacing up the “Last Shot” Air Jordan 14s. Obviously, this shoe is dubbed the ‘Last Shot’ because Jordan wore this shoe while hitting the infamous last shot against the Utah Jazz in the 1998 NBA Finals. If you recall, these classics re-released in December 24th, 2005 for $130. Who else is ready to see these sneakers return? Better yet, is this one of the better Air Jordan sneakers to release? Click here to view these kicks plus more worn by Dwight Howard, Derrick Rose, Joe Johnson and others.

Nike iD Hyperdunk UConn PE

Nike iD Hyperdunk UConn PE

Today marks the one year anniversary of the instant-classic 6 OT thriller between UConn and Syracuse. Johnny Flynn and the Orange would prevail in that game, despite the efforts of the Huskies. Jim Calhoun wasn’t able to lead his team past the first round yesterday, but they did look good in these Nike iD Hyperdunk PEs.

Navy blue patent leather is used in heavy amounts on the toe and midfoot, while showing a design taken from the new Nike uniforms. On the underside of tongue, a patch displaying 1881–the year the school was founded–is sewn on, while an interlocked U and C are on the front. Like Texas Hyperdunks we saw yesterday, team colors fade from one to the other on the Flywire upper.

Vans “Harrigan Plaid” Pack

Posted: 12 Mar 2010 08:13 AM PST

Vans Harrigan Plaid Pack

Vans Vault has been on a roll lately, with releases like the Sierra 106 LX, but we haven’t had many standard Vans releases on Nice Kicks in some time. The “Harrigan Plaid” Pack will look to change that by dressing three popular silhouettes similarly.

The Zapato Del Barco, Chukka Boot and classic Slip-On all display the same plaid print. Said print uses shades of grey, black and white, and is complemented on each shoe by either black or white on the liner. White laces work on the Zapato Del Barcos and Chukkas, matching the vulcanized sole that appears on all three. This pack should be hitting a Vans retailer near you soon.
