Bespoke Nike Air Force 1 by FUTURA x Gerald

Posted: 22 Mar 2010 12:43 PM PDT

adidas El Dorado

Last week, photos of a Kevin “PPG” Hunter-designed Bespoke Nike Air Force 1, specially-made for DJ Clark Kent, surfaced on the web. Many of you stated that you liked its design cues. In addition, we have spotted yet another Bespoke Air Force 1; this time, it incorporates Futura’s design attributes.

At the Futura x Syracuse Launch Event, a grand prize winner named Gerald won the raffle contest. Upon winning this contest, Gerald got the chance to sit down with Futura and work on a custom pair of Air Force 1s. These vibrant Air Force 1s feature a primarily purple and orange leather upper with various sections of kevlar seen on the toe box and heel panel. Other features include orange contrast stitching throughout the base, a grey swoosh, grey shoelaces, an orange inner lining and an MX sole. What are your thoughts on Gerald’s Bespoke design? Is it one of the better Bespokes seen in awhile? Click here to view detailed photo.

Vans California Era Wingtip

The Vans Era Wingtip will return shortly in these two colorways, following the tuxedo-matching pair that dropped back in December. These are from the California Collection though, as opposed to being a Vault release.

Both utilize all suede construction and sit on white vulcanized soles with a red stripe. White metal eyelets have also been implemented. Turkish Sea blue and Cement grey schemes will release just in time for Summer.

Click here to take a look at both pairs individually.

Def Jam x adidas El Dorado

adidas El Dorado

adidas has some great things in store for the rest of this year. This past week, photos of the Star Wars x CLOT x adidas Originals Skate High "HOTH" surfaced and we spotted a preview of the adidas Originals Rod Laver Vintage Summer 2010 lineup. Now, we take a look at the new Def Jam x adidas collaboration on the El Dorado model.

It features a mostly blue and lime-colored base similar to the Nike Air Force 1 “Scream Green” that released last spring. As for the texture makeup, this shoe owns a predominately leather base with minimal suede hints throughout the midfoot section and the collar area. Adidas and Def Jam branding appear on the side panels and tongue among other places. The Def Jam x adidas El Dorado is now available for pre-order at Styles. Click here to view detailed photos.

Size? x adidas Originals Manchester "City Pack"

As a part of the Size? 10 year anniversary, the UK retailer worked with adidas Originals on this Manchester and matching track jacket.

Light blue suede adorns the upper, while matching pebbled leather appears on the tongue. Bright red leather stripes match up with the heel tab. A black sole is used as a base, which matches the tongue logo. Gold foil text can be found along the quarter panel, matching the writing on the tongue. Only 500 pairs of the shoes and 300 jackets have been created, and will be available on April 17th.

Kicks On Court: Joe Johnson Wearing “Jordan Brand Classic” PEs?

Posted: 22 Mar 2010 09:43 AM PDT

Kicks On Court

Lately, the newly-designed Jordan Icons has been the go-to sneaker for most of the JB members including Joe Johnson. He has laced up a red patent leather colorway and a blue patent leather colorway within the past couple of weeks. Now, take a look at Johnson’s new, special edition Jordan Icons in our Kicks On Court today.

In a win against the San Antonio Spurs, Atlanta Hawks shooting guard Joe Johnson wore a blue/white colorway of the Jordan Icons. This particular colorway is very similar to the Jordan Icons “Jordan Brand Classic” PE we showed you at the end of January. It features heavily-perforated side panels as opposed to the graphic designs seen on most of the Icons that have released. The only difference between the Jordan Brand Classic PE and Johnson’s PEs are the color on the midfoot area; Johnson’s PE features a hint of light blue on this area, while the Jordan Brand Classic possesses a touch of red. What are your thoughts on Joe’s Jordan Icons? Click here to view these kicks plus more worn by LeBron James, Kobe Bryant, Baron Davis and others.

Nike Air Max 1 Black/Black-White-Matte Silver

Nike Air Max 1 Black/Black-White-Matte Silver

When all is said and done, the Parra-designed Nike Air Max 1 may prove to be the most hyped release of the year. So often in 2010, we’ve seen the classic runner come and go. Though these won’t be as sought-after as the aforementioned pair, they are sure to be a hit.

This pair is very similar to the White/Black-Scuba that we opened this year with, but has replaced the accent blue with bright red on the logos and eyelets. Silver fills the Air bag. These are technically a women’s release, but may release with a men’s shoe companion.
