Nike Air Max LeBron VII NFW “Heroes” Pack Michael Jordan

Posted: 25 Mar 2010 12:15 PM PDT

Nike Air Max LeBron VII NFW "Heroes" Pack Michael Jordan

This morning we saw what we thought was a Nike LeBron VII P.S. dedicated to the Air Jordan XI “Bred.” Blurry cell phone pics were all that had surfaced, but alas, we can now follow them up with high quality images of this Nike Air Max LeBron VII NFW “Heroes” Pack shoe dedicated none other than Michael Jordan.

As one of LeBron’s heroes, Michael and his (arguably) most popular sneaker are paid tribute on the LBJ signature. Deion Sanders and Penny Hardaway were paid tribute with their own respective color-ups of this shoe. Odes to MJ and his sneaker include the colorway obviously, the mid-tongue horizontal label, and the special underside seen through the translucent red outsole. Through said outsole, the forefoot and heel grip panels from the Air Jordan XI are mimicked. A white midsole and Max Air bag emulate the midsole of the Jordans and of course, the mudguard is shiny black patent leather. There’s been no information as to the release of this pair, but keep your fingers crossed.

Nike Air Classic BW Black/Yellow-White

Posted: 25 Mar 2010 11:28 AM PDT

Nike Air Classic BW Black/Yellow-White

The Air Max BW Gen II looks to have caused a resurgence in the Air Classic BW. We last saw the original version in a Black/White-Blue colorway alongside a matching AM90, and this follow-up pairs dons a similar look, but with yellow as an accent color instead.

Black nubuck and a woven textile combine to create the upper’s majority. The white midsole gets help from the eyelet surround and the stripe that wraps around the entire shoe. Yellow on the Swoosh pairs with the collar and heel embroidery to brighten up the colorway. You can grab these now from JD Sports, or hang on for a stateside drop.

Jordan Icons Lineup

Jordan Icons Lineup

Yesterday, we gave you a preview of upcoming Jordan lineups including the Spizike, Flight 45 High and the Alpha 1. Today, we take a look at the upcoming Jordan Icons lineup.

This particular lineup consists of three regular Jordan Icons and two Jordan Icons Classic colorways. The Icons Classic colorways feature a two-tone colorup with one possessing White/Black-Varsity Maize colorway and the other owning a White/White-Varsity Red-True Blue color scheme. If you recall, Joe Johnson wore a Jordan Icons Classic-like colorway earlier this week against the San Antonio Spurs. The Jordan Icons shown to the right may be the most subtle of the five upcoming colorways as it uses a simple Black/Metallic Silver-Stealth. All five colorways will release between the months of March and May. Click here to view the Jordan Icons lineup in its entirety

Video: Ransom by adidas Originals Pier

Posted: 25 Mar 2010 09:58 AM PDT

Ransom and adidas Originals’ collaboration collection has proven to be nothing short of excellent. From the Valley High to the Creek, numerous models have impressed sneaker and dress shoe fiends alike.

To show off the Pier, the low top Summer shoe in the group, the team put together the above short video. As we know, the build of this shoe is very simple and designed for casual wear. What we initially thought was a canvas build is actually heavyweight hemp, adding a natural air to these sneakers. Make sure to grab some Piers next time you’re on a fan boat in the Everglades. Or if you just like the shoe for other occasions.

Kicks On Court: Paul Unveils Purple “Mardi Gras” Jordan CP3.III

Kicks On Court

Although we have spotted some very fresh Jordan PEs from the likes of Ray Allen, Mike Bibby, Joe Johnson and Gerald Wallace, we haven’t got the chance to see Chris Paul’s extensive sneaker collection due to injury. He has been out for most of the second half of the season with a knee problem. Paul retunred to the court a couple of days ago wearing the Jordan CP3.III smothered in white/university blue. However, last night, he switched it up and wore a new colorway of his third signature sneaker that is sure to turn some heads. Check out today’s Kicks On Court to see Paul’s new sneaker.

In a loss to LeBron James and the Cavs, New Orleans point guard Chris Paul laced up the purple-colored Jordan CP3.III that was specially-designed for this year’s Mardi Gras. This CP3.III possesses a primarily purple pebbled leather upper with minimal green, gold and white hints throughout the base. It is also finished with a green midsole and a white outsole. Is this the best Jordan CP3.III colorway to date? Click here to view these kicks plus more worn by LeBron James (even in practice), Kobe Bryant, Kevin Garnett and more.

Nike LeBron VII P.S. NFW “Bred” Preview

Posted: 25 Mar 2010 08:28 AM PDT

Nike LeBron VII P.S. NFW "Bred" Preview

If the Nike LeBron VII P.S. “POP” didn’t bear enough of a resemblance to the classic Air Jordan 11, this pair is about as close to the “Bred” AJ 11 as a shoe can come without a cease and desist order.

An obvious ode to the aforementioned shoe, this LeBron signature is an NFW model, meaning woven leather has replaced Flywire along the sides. Black patent wraps around the base of the upper. A white midsole sits on a translucent red outsole, which shows the pattern from the underside of Jordans. A white Swoosh is stitched on with red threading, and the tongue shows a horizontal label with sideways lettering. Little else is known about these shoes just yet, but if LeBron wears them in the Playoffs, could they be the shoe that helps him channels his inner-MJ and get the elusive first Championship ring.
