Missoni x Converse Chuck Taylor

Posted: 16 Apr 2010 12:43 PM PDT

We showed you this Missoni x Converse collaboration at the end of last year, and those who commented seemed to only like one of the two Chuck Taylors that was created. To your delight, we have now learned that the Chuck Taylor you preferred is now available at select retailers worldwide.

Missoni, a high-end fashion house based out of Varese, Italy, applied its trademark zigzag pattern on this canvas-textured Chuck Taylor. Supposedly, the colors and hues incorporated on this particular sneaker coincides with Missoni's Fall/Winter 2010 Men's collection. Its complimentary features include a white, vulcanized sole, a white rubber toe cap, a red inner lining and an interesting tongue label that possesses Missoni and Converse branding. Click here to view detailed photos and stay tuned for release information on the second pair.

Nike SB Dunk High Premium “Iron Man”

Posted: 16 Apr 2010 11:58 AM PDT

Nike SB Dunk High Premium "Iron Man"

With the Summer blockbuster season right around the corner, anticipation continues to grow for one particular comic book-inspired sequel. Iron Man 2 may set records by superhero movie standards, and Nike SB has capitalized on the buzz with this Dunk High Premium, which won’t actually release until after the movie has.

The upper alternates between a deep burgundy and lighter shade of wine red and relies on a premium suede for its build. Since the shoe borrows its colorway from the Iron Man costume, it’s only right that golden yellow accents are in place on the outsole and on the denim Swoosh surround. Matching the black midsole is a patent leather Swoosh in the quarter panel. Which do you see being a bigger hit this year–the movie or the shoe?

SN’EADS – “The Camp-Out”

Posted: 16 Apr 2010 11:13 AM PDT

Camping out for sneakers is well worth the wait 99.99999% of the time.  We usually leave the retail spot with a sneaker we have coveted for a long time and a great, big smile of unbrushed teeth. However, Tyree shows us that camping out does not always end in a happy story through his latest version of SN’EADS.

This particular SN’EADS starts off with two sneaker lovers texting each other about their camp-out plans regarding an upcoming shoe. One of them decides to camp out for an entire month before the official release. Sure, the first half of this particular SN’EADS starts off promising; yet, click here to view the rest of this camp out encounter. Will this shy you away from camping out? Also, follow Ty on Twitter  at @SneadsByRee for frequent updates, and check out some of his previous work at tyree-dillihay.blogspot.com.

Nike Air Penny III White/Varsity Red-Black

Nike Air Penny III White/White-Varsity Red

Penny Hardaway hasn’t been in the league for some time, but his shoes have managed to retain our interest. Whether it’s the Air Penny II or the Air Foamposite One, the sneakers that have graced Anfernee’s feet still get us to pull out our wallets. Add this Nike Air Penny III to the list, as it just hit select retailers including Nike Store.

Varsity Red foam graces the sides and forefoot areas on this pair, matching the rubber of the mid- and outsole. A bit of black is used on both the toe and heel as well. White leather makes up the majority of the upper, which helps show off the mirror-finish Penny logo near the heel.

Air Jordan Fusion 8 Black/Varsity Red-Flint Grey

Posted: 16 Apr 2010 09:43 AM PDT

Last month, Jordan Brand unleashed the second Air Jordan Fusion 8 of the year in the form of the “Aqua” colorway. Many of you expressed your discontent with this sneaker as you have with many other Air Jordan Fusions. However, can this black/varsity red-flint grey color scheme save the Air Jordan Fusion 8 this time?

Jordan Brand will release this Air Jordan Fusion 8 black/varsity red-flint grey on May 22nd, 2010. Obviously, this Fusion draws its color inspiration from the ever-so-popular Air Jordan 8 Retro “Playoffs” which re-released in December 2007 for $140. With that said, this Fusion will be the same price as the aforementioned classic retro when it releases (odd, right?). Much like the “Playoffs” Air Jordan 8, this shoe owns a primarily black suede base and features the multi-colored design on the heel. It is also finished with a flint grey midsole and a black/red outsole. Click here to share your thoughts on this upcoming release.

Nike Trainer 1 Mid “Vintage Shoe Box”

Posted: 16 Apr 2010 08:58 AM PDT

Nike Trainer 1 Mid "Vintage Shoe Box"

The designers at Nike decided to pay tribute to their heritage with a newer training silhouette. This Trainer 1 Mid has been dressed to look like the Nike shoe boxes of old.

The entire upper shows a Safety Orange hue. Nubuck, suede and mesh all come together for construction, while the liner uses a light grey color. That same color can be found on the hybrid Free and Air sole. That sole has not been left one color though, but has instead been striped at an angle in two shades of grey, just like classic Nike boxes. The shoe, which can be purchased now at Nike Store, actually comes packaged with the vintage box. The bright orange look may be hard to wear, but these could very well end up a collectors item.

Reality Studio x Onitsuka Tiger Fabre Light RS

Posted: 16 Apr 2010 08:13 AM PDT

While Onitsuka Tiger plans on bringing some of its older silhouettes back to the forefront, such as the Lay Up 72, they are also constructing new designs for 2010. In collaboration with Reality Studios, Onitsuka Tiger has created the Fabre Light RS.

This particular, mid-cut sneaker features a few unique attributes to say the least. It cream-colored, leather base is offset by a red inner lining; yet, its fringe-like details, appearing on throughout the midfoot and on the heel, add to the Fabre Light RS’s already-interesting look. Other features include a single-stitched cupsole, monochromatic laces and an open section on the back of the heel. Look for this sneaker to release soon. What are your thoughts on the Fabre Light RS?
