“Grape” Nike Air Max 95

Posted: 19 Apr 2010 12:43 PM PDT

The “Comet” and “Slate” Nike Air Max 95s seem to be on everybody’s priority list in 2010 and rightfully so. However, Nike will unleash yet another fresh colorway of the Air Max 95 this summer in  a “Grape” color scheme.

Obviously, Nike borrows this particular colorway from the “Grape” Air Jordan 5 Retro and the recently-released “Grape” Jordan Spizike. It features a primarily nubuck-textured base layered in black, charcoal and grey. The green and purple are seen throughout the midfoot area and tongue. In addition, this shoe features complimentary attributes such as a green visible Air sole unit, a white midsole and a black outsole. The “Grape” Nike Air Max 95 will hit retailers some time in July. Click here to view detailed photos.

Nike Air Flightposite II Navy/Black

Nike Air Flightposite II Navy/Black

The Nike Air Flightposite II has released in two colorways in the past few months, and though neither displayed the name of the NBA Superstar they were originally created for, this shoe was still able to draw a healthy amount of buzz from retro fans. Now it looks as though a third shoe will hit shelves in the coming months in the form of the pair we see here.

Navy blue foam is the choice accent color this time around, wrapping around the heel on both the medial and lateral sides. Black contrasts the hue at the midfoot, where a zipper keeps your foot in place. Numerous silver accents can be spotted on the Swooshes and dot line that replaces Garnett’s name. Check for these in August at select retailers.

Nike KD II “2010 NBA Playoffs”

Posted: 19 Apr 2010 10:28 AM PDT

Earlier today, our Kicks On Court highlighted Kevin Durant and the Oklahoma City Thunder sporting new colorways of the Nike KD II in their first playoff game against the Los Angeles Lakers. However, Nike has revealed photos of two more Nike KD II colorways that will supposedly show up on Durant’s feet some time during the postseason.

The new ‘Away’ colorway, shown above, owns a primarily black-colored base similar to the pair Durant wore in game 1 of the Oklahoma City Thunder vs Los Angeles Lakers series. Yet, this particular pair features more accents colors and a different texture makeup than the previous pair. Multiple orange hints appear on the swoosh, laces, outsole among other places, while the only blue seen on this is the swoosh border. As for the texture makeup, this KD II possesses black patent leather on the midfoot strap and an area just above the sole. The ‘Home’ colorway, shown here, contains the same texture construction; yet, its base is made of white leather. Are these two colorways better than the KD IIs seen in game 1?

Moving right ahead with its 75th anniversary, this shoe is set to hit shelves this Fall in a number of new looks, as seen here.

The first is draped in black Woolrich wool and sits on a white sole. Accents include a leather midfoot and boot lace loops. A burgundy leather low has also been constructed, as has a cream canvas shoe. Matching the latter is a High version with similar details, including some navy embroidery, silver eyelets and a rubber toe cap.

Kicks On Court: The Thunder Light Up the Court in New KD IIs

Posted: 19 Apr 2010 08:58 AM PDT

Yesterday, we showed you arguably the best Kicks On Court of the 2009-2010 NBA season in which we saw multiple players rocking some new sneakers and new colorways of older kicks. Today, we spotlight one team as opposed to every team in this year’s playoffs. With that said, check out today’s Kicks On Court to see what the Oklahoma City Thunder laced up.

Kevin Durant and the majority of the Oklahoma City Thunder wore new Nike KD II colorways in their first playoff game against the defending champion Los Angeles Lakers. Players such as Russell Westbrook, Jeff Green, Eric Maynor and Nick Collison laced up an all-black version of the Nike KD II, while ‘Durantula’ himself sported a primarily black-based KD II with orange and blue hints seen throughout the upper. Specifically, Durant’s KD IIs own a white outsole and a multi-colored inner lining and the rest of the team’s KD IIs contain black patent leather hints on the swoosh among other sections. What are your thoughts on these new KD IIs? Click here to view these kicks plus more worn Gerald Wallace, Kobe Bryant, Dwight Howard and others.
