Nike Air Max LeBron VII Low “Mean Green”

Posted: 22 Apr 2010 12:43 PM PDT

Nike Air Max LeBron VII Low "Mean Green"

When we first caught a glimpse of this unique Nike Air Max LeBron VII Low, we assumed it would be the next in the line of “Dunkman” sneakers. However, with today’s detailed photos, we learn that the Dunkman logo is absent, meaning these AMLVIIs are likely not a part of the lineage. However, they do appear to be the first in what could turn into a “Mean Green” line of kicks.

Silver Flywire with white threads fills out the hole in the white leather upper. Mean Green is used for the 360 degree Air Max unit and part of the semi-translucent outsole. The Swoosh outline and LBJ23 pendant near the heel show the same color. The V-shaped lace hoop at the top of the midfoot is a dark grey color close to charcoal. Though it is still to early to say that these will hit retailers, will you grab a pair for yourself if they do?

Under Armour Prototype 2 “Double Nickel”

Under Armour Prototype 2 "Double Nickel"

Now that Brandon Jennings’ rookie season is in its final month or so, the secret is out that the Compton product (by way of Europe) has a future as a dynamic point guard in the NBA, with the potential to be a superstar. Do his Under Armour sneakers possess the same promise? We’ve seen a number of Jennings appearances in Kicks On Court, but the looks at his shoes in detail have been limited. This Prototype 2, which could potentially release later this year, has surfaced on eBay though, giving us a closer look at and a potential piece of NBA and sneaker collector history.

This pair itself was worn following the rookie’s record-setting 55 point performance weeks after. The “Double Nickel” nickname and tongue embroidery stems from that game, though these were worn in a later game against the Cavs. The upper is white perforated leather, which matches the rubber outsole. Red patent leather wraps over the toe and around the base of the toe. A silver number 3 can be seen near the heel. These extremely rare UA kicks can be grabbed on eBay now.

Nike Blazer High White/Black-Purple

Posted: 22 Apr 2010 10:28 AM PDT

Nike Blazer High White/Black-Purple

Just when it looked as though this Summer’s Blazers would all posses simple, single-color designs, this Nike has been made available. If you’re out to keep things “tribal,” you can grab them now at Finish Line.

White and black leather are intertwined on the upper of this pair to create a sharp-edged design. Black leather is used for the wingtip-esque toe cap, heel and midfoot, as well. The white used for the upper shows a pearl quality, making for further contrast against its black counterpart. The purple used is minimal, as it can be found only on the liner and tongue tag Swoosh.

Nike Air Max 90 – Avatar “Na’vi”

Posted: 22 Apr 2010 09:43 AM PDT

Nike Air Max 90 "Na'vi"

“Avatar” destroyed box office records last year, and even well into 2010. As the biggest box office smash ever, it’s only fitting that Nike paid a little tribute to it with one of its classics, the Air Max 90. While the “Iron Man” Dunk SB is designed as an ode to Tony Starks’ special suit, the “Na’vi” colorway on this shoe shows love to the blue inhabitants of Pandora.

The uppers are dressed in a very unique print, which shows scales similar to a crocodile. Blue is the base color, but purple, teal, green and black all help out, adding a very realistic element to the skin. This look as obviously modeled after the Na’vi’s skin. The midsole combines white and blue, and yellow laces represent the characters’ eyes. For now it looks as though these will remain a sample, but you can grab the aforementioned Dunks later this year if you’re trying to make a cinema-sneaker connection.

Peak Kidd II

Posted: 22 Apr 2010 08:58 AM PDT

Peak Kidd II

Jason Kidd is supposed to be old and slow at this point in his career. Instead, the veteran point guard is shooting an all-time high percentage from behind the arc and leading a team poised for a deep playoff run. Though Kidd previously was a Nike signature athlete, he made the switch to Chinese company Peak in the last few years, and for the first time ever, we’re getting a closer look at his second signature shoe, the aptly-named Kidd II.

White leather dresses the upper almost entirely, with a bit of navy blue patent helping at the heel. The liner and tongue are also the Mavericks’ deep shade of a blue. Dallas’ light blue team color is also used in healthy amounts on the heel, Peak logos and tongue. The Kidd II will probably never make it over to the States, but is a stride in the right direction for foreign brands expanding into Nike’s territory.

Nike SB Zoom Stefan Janoski White Perf

Posted: 22 Apr 2010 08:13 AM PDT

Nike SB Zoom Stefan Janoski White Perf

The Nike SB Zoom Stefan Janoski has proven to be a can’t-miss sneaker. It seems that regardless of how the team in Oregon dresses it up, it probably looks very good. This next pair, which should drop just in time for Summer, may be one of the best yet.

White perforated leather is draped over every inch of this pair’s upper, and a matching vulcanized sole is in place. These are very similar to a pair Stefan himself gave us a sneak peek of back in October, but that pair seemed to use a slightly different style of perforation.  These retain the standard white leather laces we’ve seen often, and details include a subtle white Swoosh and tongue label. More information is expected soon on this shoe, so stay tuned to find out how to get your own pair.
