| Nike Air Trainer III “Air Attack” – More Colors Posted: 03 May 2010 12:58 PM PDT I must be an “Air Attack” kind of day. This morning we spotted three colorways of the classic Air Total Max Uptempo for the ever-expanding collection, as well as the silhouette we see here in a Black/Metallic Silver look. Two more color-ups of the Nike Air Trainer III have been spotted, and should be available soon. Black and purple team up for the first, with pony hair and leather coming together on the upper. We’ve seen this combination time and time again our looks at the “Air Attack” shoes, much the same as we’ve seen the second colorway in this twosome. Metallic Silver leather and plastic combine forces on the upper of the next pair, while red is used for the entire sole and “AIR” logo on the tongue tag. Earlier today, we notified you of the 2010 Future Sole Design Competition beginning over the weekend. It is safe to say the “Future Sole” Jordan Melo M6, the result from last year’s Future Sole Design Competition, has been one of the most talked-about sneakers since its design process. Carmelo Anthony obviously preferred the “Future Sole” Jordan Melo M6 over the original model during his short stint in the 2010 NBA Playoffs. Our Kicks On Court spotted Anthony wearing the “Future Sole” Jordan Melo M6 in five of the six games within the Utah Jazz vs Denver Nuggets series. | Posted: 03 May 2010 11:58 AM PDT The Nike Air Max Hyperize may be the current hot hoops sneakers, but many of the colorways we’ve seen lately are perfectly suited for casual wear. This next pair, which looks similar to a popular Air Griffey Max 1 we saw at the beginning of this year, is no different. Grey nubuck is the base color and material used throughout. White is used for a clean look at various points throughout, including the midsole and mesh tongue. Orion Blue jumps off the neutral base thoughout, including the sole, Swoosh surround and quarter panel Flywire threads. These have landed at select overseas retailers, but be on the lookout for them at your local shop. The Nike Hyperdunk Low seems to be a point guard-ready sneaker as we have spotted players including Deron Williams and Rajon Rondo wearing this sneaker; we now have spotted Houston Rockets point guard Aaron Brooks’s Hyperdunk Low that is now available at select retailers including Kix-Files. It simply features a mainly white leather base with multiple red details such as the swoosh, shoelaces, the inner lining and the flywire design. If you recall, we spotted Aaron Brooks wearing this particular sneaker on a few occasions towards the latter part of the season. | Nike Air Total Max Uptempo “Air Attack” Pack Posted: 03 May 2010 10:58 AM PDT Three new colorways of the Nike Air Total Max Uptempo have been spotted. This classic hoops sneaker has been seen a retro in a handful of looks in the past year or two, but the “Air Attack” Pack is prepared to hand over at least three new ones, if not more. Metallic Silver leather covers almost the entire upper of the first pair, while Sport Red is the main accent color. The outsole shows that hue entirely, with the majority being translucent. The tip of the toe is solid rubber, however. The next pairs use back leather for their uppers, with the blue-accented pair making use of perforation along the sides. Metallic Silver and light blue are the two options for the Max Air unit and outsole of either pair. Expect to see at least two more color-ups of this shoe to make it a full-fledged “Air Attack” family member. | Posted: 03 May 2010 10:28 AM PDT This weekend LeBron James celebrated the reception of his second NBA regular season MVP trophy in a row. At a small event for friends, family and press, a number of these Nike LeBron VII Lows in special “MVP” trim were on hand. While we anxiously wait to see if King James will wear a special Air Max LeBron VII “MVP” tonight against Boston as rumors insinuate, let’s look closely at this tribute low-top. Frankly, this shoe leaves a lot to be desired, as it appears to be a GR release Low with a bit of laser engraving on the side. This shoe will likely never see the light of day at your local shop and is reserved for friends of LeBron, but could be a hint at what to expect to see on LBJ’s feet tonight. The toes feature special Dunkman trophies with years James has won the award on either shoe. Along the lateral sides, “MVP x 2″ can be seen. Are you excited by these simple Nikes or waiting to see the on-court version tonight? If this year’s Future Sole Design Competition is anything close to being as good as 2009’s Future Sole Competition, we are impatiently awaiting another final product treat. 17-year Austin Jermacans designed a variation of Carmelo Anthony’s Jordan Melo M6 that undoubtedly won over the Nuggets superstar (the “Future Sole” Jordan Melo M6 became Carmelo’s 2010 playoff sneaker). Now, the 2010 Future Sole Design Competition is underway; however, there are a few changes in this year’s competition. In addition to designing a sneaker, your mission will also include creating a Jordan T-shirt should you choose to enter.
