At the end of last year, we gave you a preliminary look at the Air Jordan 2010 Outdoor Playground lineup which included this black/white-varsity red colorway. We were surprised to see that most of you liked the Outdoor Playground version over the original Air Jordan 2010 model because of the absence of the ever-so-popular window. With that said, we now have detailed photos of this particular Air Jordan 2010 Outdoor Playground. One of the more glaring attributes on this outdoor-ready sneaker is the cross strap that made sneakers such as the Nike Air Raid popular. Obviously, this particular elements increases this shoe’s stability and lock-down support. The enlarged perforations seen throughout the side panels and toe box aid to this shoe’s breathability. As far as the colorway, this Air Jordan 2010 features a color scheme, black/white-varsity red, in which we have seen on a number of Jordan sneakers over the years. Look for the Air Jordan 2010 Outdoor Playground Black/White-Varsity Red to hit retailers some time this summer. View detailed photos below. | Posted: 04 May 2010 12:58 PM PDT Following the “Skunk” Dunk probably isn’t a pleasant task for any Nike SB Dunk. Then again, shoes don’t have feelings, so the only real issue that arises here is whether you’re willing to shell out the cash for this Grand Purple sneaker. As you can probably guess, Grand Purple appears throughout this sneaker, including the ankle, toe box and quarter panel. The latter two of those areas are perforated while the remainder of the upper is black suede. A white midsole works with one of the included sets of laces for contrast. This pair is hitting select retailers now. Do you plan on grabbing a pair? Following the Bape Apesta Hi Summer 2010 Lineup we showed you last week, we now have spotted a three-sneaker lineup of the Bape Apesta Low that is available at Cliff Edge. While the Bape Apesta Highs feature an all-canvas base much like the original Converse Chuck Taylor, the Bape Apesta Lows involved in this lineup contain a 100% soft, plush suede construction. White contrast stitching is also seen throughout the upper and white rubber toe caps give these Apestas a nice color contrast. | Mister Cartoon x Nike Lunar Rejuven8 Mid “USA” Posted: 04 May 2010 11:58 AM PDT As a part of the World Cup “True Colors” Collection, Nike selected Mister Cartoon to design gear for the fans of the U.S. Soccer Team. This pair of Lunar Rejuven8 Mids is designed to match the Air Footscape Freemotion we saw some time ago. Black mesh and Torch combine to create the entire upper, while suede can be found on the Swoosh, midfoot and heel. A white Lunarlite sole sits underneath. The collaborating artist’s touches can be seen on the tongue, where Nike script is sewn in his handwriting. Select retailers are stocking these limited kicks, as well as their partner pair, now and more will be in the coming days so be on the lookout. | Air Jordan 6 Retro “LA Lakers” Posted: 04 May 2010 11:28 AM PDT
The Air Jordan 6 Retro “LA Lakers” is set to release on May 15th, 2010; however, it is already starting to show up at overseas retailers including Kix-Files. This particular Air Jordan 6 Retro commemorates the Los Angeles Lakers, the team Michael Jordan and the Chicago Bulls won their first championship over. In addition to the black suede sections, seen throughout the side panels and toe box, this shoe contains a black, 3M reflective material on the rest of the upper (the photo above shows its 3M reflective attributes. Continuing with the Lakers theme, purple and yellow contrast stitching is seen throughout the upper, As stated earlier, this shoe will be available stateside on May 15th, 2010; yet it is now available at select retailers overseas. And considering that this shoe is finally hitting stateside retailers, you can grab it at Premier or your local shop now. Orange Blaze suede is used for the for upper, while black leather Swoosh is sewn along the sides. Black is also used for the laces, liner and embroidery throughout. | Footwear Faceoff: Rajon Rondo vs Mo Williams Posted: 04 May 2010 10:28 AM PDT
Although LeBron James’s “MVP” Nike Air Max LeBron VII undoubtedly garnered a lot of attention in our Kicks On Court, there was many other basketball sneakers within the two games that were played last night. Obviously, Rajon Rondo vs Mo Williams is one of the better point guard matchups of the playoffs; however, both players are also the subject of our Footwear Faceoff as well. Rajon Rondo wore his ‘Away’ colorway of the newly-designed Nike Hyperfuse, while Mo Williams laced up the Nike Air Max Hyperize NFW for the second night in a row. Both Nike Basketball sneakers are fairly new designs with the Air Max Hyperize NFW releasing not too long ago and the Hyperfuse set to debut in the summer. In addition, both sneakers have received positive remarks from most of you; yet, which one of these basketball sneakers is better in your eyes? **Note**: Participate in our newly-designed Footwear Faceoff voting poll below and choose whose basketball sneakers you liked more.
