Nike Cradle Rock Low “Kinbé Pa Lagé”

Posted: 06 May 2010 12:58 PM PDT

Nike Cradle Rock Low "Kinbé Pa Lagé"

The Nike Cradle Rock Low has been seen on the feet of Steve Nash all season. With its Dunk-esque design, it’s essentially a cross between a casual and performance sneaker. This version, which is dedicated to Haitian relief, reportedly won’t be hitting shelves, but was created with good intentions.

As you know from our previous look at this shoe, a South Florida elementary school class designed the print that adorns the lower area of the upper. That same print can be seen on the alternate laces. A blue liner and stitching work with the matching midsole, while red accents can also be seen throughout. The theme of this project, “Kinbé Pa Lagé” (“Hold on tight, don't let go.”) appears on the tongue in childish handwriting.

Nike Huarache 2010 Luol Deng PE

Posted: 06 May 2010 12:28 PM PDT

The Chicago Bulls are one of the few teams that exited the 2010 NBA Playoffs very early; however, that doesn’t stop us from showcasing some very nice PEs of some of the Bulls better players including small forward Luol Deng.

Luol Deng’s Nike Huarache 2010 PEs simply features a black/red-white color scheme that is seen on the Chicago Bulls jerseys. The predominance of the base, which is done up in leather, is colored in black along with the neoprene sock liner. Minimal red hints appear in the form of the laces and midsole, white details, such as the outsole, swoosh and Luol Deng branding (Luol 9), give this shoe very nice color blocking. Is Deng’s PE one of the better Nike Huarche 2010 colorways yet?

Nike Air Max 1 Turbo Green

Another colorway of the hotter than ever Nike Air Max 1 has been spotted. Like so many we’ve seen this year, this pair relies on simple color blocking and bright colors for its make-up.

White mesh and grey suede lay down the foundation, while the namesake Turbo Green suede hue is used on the mudguard, Swoosh and top eyelet surround. A bright yellow appears on the suede on the forefoot and the mesh liner. A white midsole and black outsole finish off this new-look pair of runners. Stay tuned for more info on the upcoming release.

Jordan One6One7 White/Black

Posted: 06 May 2010 11:28 AM PDT

Last week, we gave you a detailed look at the Jordan One6One7 Mike Bibby PEs which will be very close to impossible to obtain. Jordan Brand will release the Jordan One6One7 some time this summer, and we have now spotted one of the first colorways that will hit retailers.

At a first glance, this particular sneaker resembles one of the first Jordan 16.5 colorways that released last year. Matter of fact, it is the exact same colorway; yet, the silhouettes are just a tad bit different. Another difference between the two is the sole. This JordanOne6One7 is complimented with an icy sole, while the Jordan 16.5 owns a white outsole. Much like the “Concord” Air Jordan 11s, this shoe features an patent leather stip that surrounds the entire base. To coincide with this attribute, multiple black hints appear throughout the side panels among other sections. View detailed photos below.

KAWS Responds To Stitch Situation

KAWS Responds To Stitch Situation

Artist KAWS took to his blog yesterday to write about his disdain for Nike’s decision to allow Bespoke designers to use cross-stitching on the Air Force 1. A controversy of sorts arose, as sneakerheads across the States were rubbed the wrong way by KAWS’ comments. Today, he took to his blog again, writing the following:

The last post I made about the Nike Bespoke’s was just me seeing something, being annoyed and writing about it. I could see both sides of the argument about X top stitching being used on AF1’s. I surely didn’t create top stitching so I shouldn’t be protective of it. I guess just seeing these yellow Nike Bespoke’s below rubbed me the wrong way and now all X top stitching on AF1’s rub me the wrong way. I have had plenty of good experiences working with Nike in the past but I felt like making a post about this so I can share my opinion and move on.

Above references a recent Bespoke that has surfaced on the web that was clearly inspired by the KAWS 1 World shoe. The influential artist meant to be anything but with his comments, and it seems like he failed to understand the gravitas of his words when we wrote them. It seems as though he’s essentially rescinding his comments and stating that he was was simply unclear in his first post. Now that he’s attempted to make good on his sentiment, can you see him in the way you did before his comments?

Posted: 06 May 2010 09:58 AM PDT

Nike LeBron VII P.S. "Summit Lake Hornets"

To date we’ve seen four different colorways of the Zoom-supported Nike LeBron VII P.S. From the “POP” to the Black/Reds, this shoe is surefire winner, especially among off-shoot “little brother” sneakers. This colorway, inspired the Summit Lake Hornets, is being seen in detail for the first time now.

The majority of the upper shows a matte black color with a high sparkle finish. Black Flywire uses purple and teal threads, which are the two majority colors that appear throughout. Black mesh is used for the tongue, which shows off a patent pull tab. Head over to eBay and grab a pair now.
