Ronnie Fieg x Asics Gel Lyte III “Super Red”

Posted: 10 May 2010 12:58 PM PDT

Ronnie Fieg x Asics Gel Lyte III "Super Red"

Finally, after numerous previews, the Asics Gel Lyte III “Super Red” has been revealed in all its glory. Ronnie Fieg designed this pair as a follow-up to the “Super Blue” that released at the beginning of 2009, and these are set for a Summer release.

If you can’t prevent yourself from being distracted, you can see that this sneaker relies on multiple shades of grey for its base. A black midsole works with a matching liner to further the dark, neutral look. It’s the namesake “Super Red”accents that make this shoe what it is though. They appear at the base of the midfoot, the arches design, heel and the outsole. It’s safe to say that this shoe is one of the most anticipated Asics in some time. Stay tuned for more information on its upcoming release.

Nike Lunar Mariah+ Wicked Purple & Vivid Pink

Posted: 10 May 2010 12:28 PM PDT

At the beginning of the year, we highlighted a few Nike Lunar Mariah+ colorways that were designed specifically for overseas retailer Size?’s 10th-year anniversary. While we continue to wait on the release of those Nike Lunar Mariahs, we have now spotted two more Lunar Mariah colorways that are now available at Dunk.

The Nike Lunar Mariah features a highly-detailed base constructed of mesh (side panels, toe area) and synthetic suede that sits atop a Lunar Foam sole. One pair owns a 100% wicked purple colored base fused with a total orange Lunar sole, while the other pair uses a vivid pink base and a cyber-colored Lunar sole. Both pairs are also equipped with a metallic summit white swoosh on the side panels. View highly-detailed photos below.

Nike Air Footscape Freemotion Purple & Royal Blue

Posted: 10 May 2010 11:58 AM PDT

In addition to the two Nike Lunar Rejuven8 Mid+ colorways we showed you yesterday, 21 Mercer Street also has two new Nike Air Footscape Freemotion colorways available in stock.

These Nike Air Footscapes are a very nice alternate to the simple-colored “True Colors” Nike Air Footscape Freemotion we showed you last month. One pair owns a primarily purple-colored flywire base, while the remaining pair is done up in royal blue flywire. Both pairs contain minimal neutral grey, mesh tongue, black laces and a clean, white Free sole. As stated earlier, these Air Footscape Freemotions are now available at 21 Mercer. View additional photos below.

Bespoke Nike Air Force 1 by Daniel Borenstein, Pt. 2

Posted: 10 May 2010 11:28 AM PDT

Bespoke Nike Air Force 1 by Daniel Borenstein, Pt. 2

Creating a Bespoke Air Force 1 is a dream to so many sneakerheads that the idea of creating TWO Bespokes could send some of them into a coma. Daniel Borenstein first joined the fraternity of Bespoke designer with his black and yellow pair awhile back. He’s since joined the ultra-elite group of multiple pair designers with the pair we see here.

A number of materials are used, including premium leather on the toe box and quarter panel, mock croc on the toe and a black textured material on the heel. A gum midsole partners with a dark purple outsole, which is matched by the Swoosh and laces. A tan leather liner finishes them off. Are these better than his first design?

Nike Air Force 1 White/Electric Green

Posted: 10 May 2010 10:58 AM PDT

Although the Nike Air Force 1 has not released in limitless colorways like previous years, this iconic silhouette has still received its fair share of attention through Bespoke creations, Harajuku iDs and the recent KAWS situation. In addition to those topics, we have now spotted a Nike Air Force 1 that is ideal for the upcoming summer season.

White leather makes up the majority of the base much like some of the more traditional Air Force 1s we have seen over the years. Yet, its electric green accents, such as the swoosh, outsole and Nike tongue branding, give this shoe a very distinctive color scheme. Its complimentary attributes, including the monochromatic laces and inner lining, keep this shoe simple at the same time. Now available at RMK Store. View additional photos below.

Nike Rejuven8 Mid “Write The Future”

Posted: 10 May 2010 10:28 AM PDT

Nike Rejuven8 Mid "Write The Future"

Nike is going all in for the World Cup, especially with the Lunar Rejuven8 Mid. Having seen a number of shoes as a part of the “True Colors” Collection, it shouldn’t surprise anyone that still more have been created. This packwas designed as a part of the in-store display at the Tokyo “Write The Future” pop-up shop.

Many of the colorways are similar to those we’ve seen, but maintain white soles. Golden yellow, purple, light blue and grey are just a few of the colors we’re seeing for the first time on this shoe. The black shoe we see sports a yellow Swoosh and a “Brazil” tongue tag, though it is clearly not the Rejuven8 we saw for the Brazilian team already. Could these be making their way to stateside accounts before the games begin? Only time will tell.

Footwear Faceoff: Who Owns the Better Jordan Jumpman Pro PE?

Posted: 10 May 2010 09:58 AM PDT

This year, the Jordan Brand members have been rocking new models such as the Jordan Icons, the Jordan All Day and the Jordan Flight Team; however, over the weekend, we spotted a couple of players rocking arguably the best Jordan team sneaker ever created.

Antonio McDyess and Joe Johnson both rocked PE versions of the player-friendly Jordan Jumpman Team Pro. Johnson’s pair features a primarily white leather base with multiple sections of navy blue and red throughout the upper. If you recall, Johnson’s PEs were available for retail at the Chicago House of Hoops during the holiday season of 2008. As for McDyess’s PEs, they feature a simple white/black colorway that coincide perfectly with the San Antonio Spurs jerseys. Which Jordan Jumpman Team Pro interests you the most?

**Note**: Participate in our newly-designed Footwear Faceoff voting poll below and choose whose basketball sneakers you liked more.
