Nike Blazer High Vintage Varsity Red & Blue Posted: 25 May 2010 01:28 PM PDT The Nike Blazer is one of the more popular silhouettes to don the Vintage look, and has continually been released in such fashion. Two more colorways have been designed, with an expected release in late June. The first dons a royal blue suede upper and a white Swoosh, while the second relies on Varsity Red instead. The white tongue of each show intentionally show the foam construction and are yellowed, just like the sole. The pre-aged look has been a love-it or hate-it concept for many readers, but these two Blazers may be some of the best to wear it. Nike Trainer 1.2 “Chlorophyll” Posted: 25 May 2010 11:58 AM PDT When Nike first released the Trainer 1, it donned the classic “Chlorophyll” look that the original Air Trainer 1 made famous. It’s only fitting that the Trainer 1.2 debuts in the same look. Some of the elements that made the Trainer 1 a successful performer have been upgraded for this go-round, including the hyper-flexible forefoot and Flywire quarter panel. The OG Air Trainer 1 lent its forefoot strap to this version, and also the bright green design elements that appear throughout. The heel Air Max unit has also been retained for cushioning. Is this new version an upgrade or a downgrade? Kevin Garnett to Leave adidas for Anta Posted: 25 May 2010 10:58 AM PDT It looks like the Big Ticket will be the next NBA superstar to jump ship on an American-recognized sneaker company and sign with a Chinese footwear brand. Baron Davis (Li-Ning) and Jason Richardson (Peak) are just a few to have already done so. Reportedly, Garnett will opt-out of his “lifetime endorsement deal” with the three stripes brand and move to Anta following this season. KG was expected to surpass his career’s length with his adidas endorsement and support the brand as a veteran, but it looks as though the brand will join Nike and And 1 as ex-endorsers. If the deal goes through and he opts out, Garnett will join Rocket Luis Scola on the fresh-to-America brand. Stay tuned for more information on this developing story. Footwear Faceoff: Rasheed Wallace vs Ray Allen Posted: 25 May 2010 10:28 AM PDT
Is it safe to say Rasheed Wallace and Ray Allen continuously sport the best sneakers on the Boston Celtics roster? This year alone, we have spotted Sheed wearing a ton of new Nike Air Force 1 Hi PEs, while Ray Allen has been seen in everything from Air Jordan 8 PEs to Jordan Icons. Seeing that both players garner a lot of attention by way of their feet, we put them head to head in today’s Footwear Faceoff. In today’s Kicks On Court, we showcased Sheed shelving the Nike Air Force 1 Hi for one half and rocking the Nike Zoom Sharkalaid; however, our focus remains on his sneaker for the second half. Sheed laced up a primarily white leather Nike Air Force 1 Hi that features a black outsole and an ankle strap of the same color. On the other hand, Ray Allen laced up one of his trusty Jordan Icons PEs that also contains a mostly white leather upper. Its laser-etched green/white designs on the side panels are easily its most glaring features. Both sneakers are staples in our Kicks On Court; however, which player rocked the best pair of kicks last night? **Note**: Participate in our newly-designed Footwear Faceoff voting poll below and choose whose basketball sneakers you liked more.
