| Posted: 07 Jun 2010 12:58 PM PDT The Nike Hyperdunk 2010 should serve as a solid follow-up to 2008’s groundbreaking Hyperdunk. After showing you several colorways last month, we are excited to see a new colorway that features an always-popular color combination. In this pair seen below, a large portion of the upper is set in a grey/charcoal color. Black is used minimally on the heal and ankle regions to add flash to what would otherwise be a dull pair of Nike Hyperdunks. Speckled volt soles, spotted laces and volt trim used on the midsoles and near the ankle give this shoe life. As the NBA nears its end, it is nice to see Nike steer away from the common team colors and give us something simple but electrifying. | Nike Air Force 1 “Perforated Leather” Posted: 07 Jun 2010 12:28 PM PDT Completing the trifecta started today by the Nike Dunk High AC “Perforated Leather” and followed with the matching Toki is this Air Force 1. At first glance it may appear to be the staple all white available year-round in malls everywhere, but these are in fact dressed with micro perforated leather. The only bits of leather on the upper that aren’t perforated are the Swoosh and heel tab, which are both solid. Oddly enough, these AF1s don’t show any bronze, whereas its pack mates both make use of the accent color. Is there enough of a difference between these and the standard all-whites we know and love to justify adding them to your collection? | Asics Gel Lyte Speed “Pastel” Pack Posted: 07 Jun 2010 11:58 AM PDT Following our detailed look at the Asics GT-II from the “Pastel” Pack is this detailed reveal and overseas release of its Gel Lyte Speed brethren. Blue and purple are the obvious choice colors for this pair, though light grey and white help on the midsole, collar and quarter panel. Durasheen plays second fiddle to the leather on the toe, heel and midfoot. A light shade of pink also appears on the outsole and tricolor laces. | Heineken x Reebok Pump Omni Lite Posted: 07 Jun 2010 11:28 AM PDT The Nike SB Dunk “Heineken” may forever be a collectors item. Attempting to channel the same energy, Reebok has collaborated with the beer company and produced this Pump Omni Lite, though you’ll likely never get your hands on one of the twenty pairs in existence. Green leather is used for the majority of the upper, while perforated white leather appears at various points. Star shapes are used for the perforation holes as a nod to Heineken’s logo. Coincidentally, that logo can be found on the forefoot. it’s hard to say that these will be as sought after as the aforementioned Dunks, but are a nice target for any beer and/or rare shoe enthusiast. | UNDFTD x Converse Chuck Taylor “You Can’t Beat LA” Posted: 07 Jun 2010 10:58 AM PDT Last night, the Boston Celtics evened up the 2010 NBA Finals series to a one-one tie. This has been one of the most competitive and evenly matched match-ups we’ve seen in the NBA Playoffs and anything could change the momentum and direction of the series. West coast retailer Undefeated has decided to release several items to show their support of the Los Angeles Lakers. Shown is a very special pair of Converse Chuck Taylors. The very simple white canvas Chucks don some very special accents in honor of their third consecutive trip to the Finals. “You Can’t Beat LA” stencil work appears along the side, repping for the hometown Lake Show. While Boston did beat L.A. last night, will the special edition Chucks prove true or will Boston get the best of Kobe and crew again? | Posted: 07 Jun 2010 10:28 AM PDT This past weekend’s “Jones Beach” re-release sent AF1 lovers heading to their local spots to grab what they couldn’t do nationally last year. Following them later this Summer is the “Hamptons” colorway, which will only hit select shelves on its July 1 release. Pearly white premium leather covers the upper, with the perforated variety adorning the quarter panel and midsole. The uppers maintain a clean and classic all white look while the icy outsole reveals a map of the Hamptons, similar to the way the aforementioned Long Island-dedicated pair does. The tongue tag shows an “H” and the insole is decorated for the land of the rich as well. | Posted: 07 Jun 2010 09:58 AM PDT The ideal Vans for the Summer may be the Authentic or the Zapato Del Barco, but when the weather turns again in a few months, these California Switchbacks may be more appropriate. The first pair sports an olive nubuck buils on its upper, with black leather appearing on the ankle. Details include dark gold eyelets and maroon laces. The second pair sports an all black upper of tumbled leather and suede. Check for both pairs come this Fall.
