Nike Air Footscape Freemotion Black & Grey

Nike Air Footscape Freemotion Black & Silver

Though one might assume the “True Colors” campaign would be the last we’d see of the Nike Air Footscape Freemotion for awhile, the asymmetrical silhouette will actually be releasing in a number of looks not associated with the World Cup later this year.

The first sports an all grey upper of Flywire with a matching mesh tongue. The second pair could easily be confused with the Mr. Cartoon-designed pair, but they actually sport black threads on the upper instead of white.

Nike Air Force 1 “Foamposite” Detailed Photos

Nike Air Force 1 "Foamposite" Detailed Photos

This Nike Air Force 1 could be one of the most intriguing releases in recent history. Whether Nike releases a limited pairs of Forces or a Foamposite-featuring shoe, sneakerheads get out their camping gear and secure their spots. By combining Foam with the AF1, could this shoe end up being one of the biggest releases of the year?

Seen here in our first detailed look to date, we can check out the smooth finish the Foam creates. The lines remain true to the AF1, though the matte silver upper blends them together. The black midfoot is matched by the heel, liner and tongue, as well as the Air Max sole’s background color. The icy sole not only serves to add a light blue to the shoe but also works as an ode to the Air Foamposite One. No price or availability information is available yet, but stay tuned for both as they become available.

Air Jordan 1 Hi Graduation Cake

Posted: 09 Jun 2010 10:28 AM PDT

Around this time last year, photos of an Air Jordan 1 wedding cake surfaced on the web to many people’s liking. Since then, we have spotted multiple sneaker-inspired cakes including Carmelo’s “Future Sole” Jordan Melo M6 birthday cake and the Air Jordan XI “Concord” cake.

We are used to seeing caps, gowns and tassels around this time of the year; however, we never thought we’d see an Air Jordan 1 Hi graduation cake. This particular cake is very similar to the aforementioned Air Jordan 1 wedding cake; yet, there are some differences between the two (we’re not to talking flavors either). In detail, the tongue on this cake features the classic Nike script in addition to the swoosh , while the previously-mentioned wedding cake only features the swoosh. Another difference can be found within the lacing construction. This graduation cake is laced all the way up to the second lace hole, while the wedding cake is laced to the third. View detailed photos below.

Vans Classics Authentic Hemp

Vans Classics Authentic Hemp

Just a few days ago we alerted you to the upcoming release of a number of Vans Authentics with eco-friendly hemp builds. They’re beginning to hit retailers now, including the two we see here, which are now at Extra Butter.

The first relies on black hemp for its upper and sits on a gum sole. The latter flips the combination, as a brown upper can be found above a black sole vulcanized sole. Both shoes use metal eyelets for added durability.

Footwear Faceoff: Kobe Bryant vs Rasheed Wallace Pt. 2

Posted: 09 Jun 2010 09:28 AM PDT

Although we showcased Kobe Bryant debuting his Nike Zoom Kobe V “Big Stage” Away in our Kicks On Court, he wasn’t the only player rocking a new pair of kicks. That said, Rasheed Wallace sported a new colorway of the Nike Air Force 1 Hi that is sure to garner a lot of attention.

Following game 1 of the 2010 NBA Finals, we constructed a Footwear Faceoff between these two players as Bryant laced up the Nike Zoom Kobe V “Big Stage” Home and Rasheed sported an all-green, patent leather Nike Air Force 1. The “Big Stage” Home Kobe Vs ultimately won by 94 votes, yet this became one of our closest Footwear Faceoff installments to date. In today’s Footwear Faceoff, we put Bryant’s Kobe V “Big Stage” Away up against Sheed’s new Air Force 1s. They feature a mainly white leather/patent leather makeup combined with a green swoosh and a sole of the same color. Who rocked the better sneaker between the two Philadelphia-raised players?

**Note**: Participate in our newly-designed Footwear Faceoff voting poll below and choose whose basketball sneakers you liked more.
