Posted: 10 Jul 2010 03:28 PM PDT Earlier this week, we received release date information on the most highly-anticipated sneaker of the year, the Air Jordan 11 “Cool Grey”. It is tentatively set to hit retailers on December 23rd, 2010. LeBron James will officially put his number 23 jersey to rest and wear number 6. With that said, take a look at the Nice Kicks Picks: Top 23 LeBron James Shoes. We now know where LeBron James will take his talents next year. However, before we learned of his choice, we constructed a Free Agency Footwear: 5 Sneaker Scenarios for LeBron James. Check out Photoshop mockups of the Nike Air Max LeBron VIII in the five colorways that correlate with the teams that were after King James. Why didn’t LeBron James choose the Chicago Bulls? Maybe because the Bulls organization tried to dare him to fill Michael Jordan’s sneakers…literally. Check out the Do you Dare to Fill These Shoes marketing scheme by the Bulls. Nike Zoom Huarache Trainer “Pittsburgh” Posted: 10 Jul 2010 02:58 PM PDT Nike also created a “Pittsburgh” colorway of the Nike Zoom Huarache Trainer for Larry Fitzgerald. The Arizona Cardinals star often speaks very highly of his alma mater and often visits the campus in his free time. Therefore, Nike used his relationship with Pittsburgh as a stepping stone to another themed Huarache Trainer for Fitzgerald. Navy blue covers the majority of the base, while minimal gold (neoprene bootie, tongue logo) and white (D-Ring strap, midsole, heel branding) accents bring the entire Pittsburgh color scheme together. Fortunately, this is not a player exclusive for Fitzgerald and will release in the coming months. Posted: 10 Jul 2010 02:28 PM PDT These past five days brought us a surprising number of releases for next year, making our staff’s choices for this week pretty difficult. Still, the tradeshows going on worldwide have given us some great sneakers for 2011, though some current product was definitely worth checking out. Was the circus surrounding “The Decision” enough to draw one of our staffers to LeBron’s most recent signature? Did a team member show some love for the endless amount of runners Summer brings us? Always have been and always will be a freak for these. New Balance takes the shoe to new heights with white perforated leather, a gum bottom, and kelly green liner. Definitely on my radar for next spring when they drop. Read the rest of Nice Kicks Staff Picks© Alex Kroviak for NiceKicks.com, 2010. | Permalink | 4 comments | Add to del.icio.us |

Nike Zoom Huarache Trainer "Green Hornet" Nike Zoom Huarache Trainer "Green Hornet" If you recall, DC rapper Wale was spotted wearing this particular Nike Zoom Huarache Trainer at a party a couple of months ago. It has been labeled the “Green Hornet” and borrows the color scheme of the masked superhero. The Green Hornet was known for having superior hand-to-hand combat; therefore, Nike likened Larry Fitzgerald’s ability to rid his defender (using his hands) when getting jammed at the line to the superhero’s obvious strengths.
