The Good – Nike Air Trainer Max ’91With all of the new Nike Training silhouettes coming out, such as the Nike Trainer 1.2 and the Nike Trainer 1.2 Fuse, it is great to see Nike unleash some of its iconic Training models at the same time. The Nike Air Trainer Max ’91 ultimately became Bo Jackson’s last Trainer and is often an overlooked in Nike’s Training line. 19 years later, Nike has re-released this sneaker to many fans’ excitement. In Retrospect: LIVESTRONG x Nike Dunk Hi “FLOM” Posted: 18 Jul 2010 11:28 AM PDT The Nike Dunk model has been seen more than any sneaker this year in multiple styles, texture makeups and colorways. However, there are always a select few Dunk colorways that we will never forget no matter how many follow. The LIVESTRONG x Nike Dunk Hi “FLOM” is a perfect example of this. This 2009-released sneaker ultimately became one of, if not the best Dunk release of last year. This time last year, (July 18th, 2009 to be exact) the LIVESTRONG x Nike Dunk Hi “FLOM” released at select Nike Sportswear retailers nationwide. Were you lucky enough to get your hands on this sneaker and was it worth the $150? If you did not pursue this Dunk, are you wishing you would have now seeing that they’re going for outrageous prices now? Lastly, was this one of your favorite releases of 2009? Jordan 6 Rings “Foamposite” Black/Dark Neon Royal Posted: 17 Jul 2010 09:41 PM PDT
As you probably know the Jordan 6 Rings is a mashup that consists of the 7 pairs of shoes MJ wore while earning his 6 NBA Championships. In the past we have seen makeups inspired teams conqured en route to the rings, but mark this as the first time we have seen Jordan Legacy product take design cues from the signature shoe of another athlete. The Foamposite-esque 6 Rings sports a Black and Dark Neon Royal (official color name even) on the upper, but takes the design inspiration another step further with an icy outsole. What are your thoughts on this shoe? Look for these in stores in February for $160. Posted: 17 Jul 2010 02:58 PM PDT The Air Jordan 7 “For the Love of the Game” was one of, if not the biggest surprise in the sneaker community this week. It is scheduled to release on August 7th, 2010 as a quickstrike right in the midst of the World Basketball Festival. A one-on-one basketball game between LeBron James and himself (if that could ever happen) would probably never end and is virtually impossible; however, we have managed to set up a battle between James and himself through our Footwear Faceoff. Check out our Footwear Faceoff: LeBron James vs LeBron James to see what sneaker interests you the most. Around this time last year, Jordan Brand unleashed the Air Jordan 1 DMP 60+ Pack. Did you immediately purchase this two-sneaker grouping or did you pass? Was it one of the better releases of 2009? View our In Retrospect: Air Jordan 1 DMP 60+ Pack to share your thoughts. Posted: 17 Jul 2010 02:13 PM PDT The team chose from a wide variety of sneakers this week. With no major Jordan news or anything from LeBron’s camp, some of the staff’s favorites were noticeably missing from the news. We made due though, thanks to some solid deliveries by Vans, adidas and of course, Nike. Which staff member made the best choice this week? Posted: 17 Jul 2010 01:28 PM PDT Nike continues to collaborate with many different entities within the sneaker community. That said, the ATF Crew (DJ Clark Kent, All Day, MAYOR, DJ Greg Street) seems to be next on this list of collaborators with Nike. Recently, Mayor revealed a preview photo of the ATF Crew’s work with Nike on what seems to be an Air Force 1 via Twitter. From what we can see so far, this shoe features the Nike logo on the tongue and the ATF acronyms below it. Mayor simply called this a ‘MOVIE!!’ on Twitter; therefore, we can only hope this ‘film’ is as good as the preview portrays! Stay tuned for more updates regarding this sneaker. © George Kiel III for NiceKicks.com, 2010. | Permalink | 5 comments | Add to del.icio.us |
