| Video: 1 Love Borough Block Party Posted: 30 Jul 2010 12:58 PM PDT Nike Sportswear sets the mood for the soon to be released “BE” Pack with this video short profiling the famous Five Boroughs. If you watch closely you will see Nike’s hand picked representives of each borough chosen to come together for the historic World Basketball Festival. Repping Brooklyn is young artist Theophilus London, Harlem is handled by rising rapper Miss Banks, Nigel Sylvester and the Format crew ride for Queens, Young Money’s Corey Gunz voices the Bronx, and lastly hip hop host Emilio Sparks speaks for Staten Island. | Nike Air Force 1 “BE” Pack Detailed Look Posted: 30 Jul 2010 12:43 PM PDT The Nike Air Force 1 “BE” Pack is set to release tomorrow, July 31st, 2010 at 21 Mercer St. If you are not convinced by at least one of the Air Force 1 colorways in this pack, we now have spotted extremely detailed photos that will undoubtedly be appealing to your eyes. We must applaud DJ Clark Kent for the design scheme he used on these Air Force 1s. Each Air Force 1 involved in this pack features a tri-textured construction (wool, leather, chenille), a single-stitched midsole, a gum bottom and the respective borough’s name on the laces. Also, a unique borough logo is spotted on the sides of each sneaker as well. As stated earlier, the Nike Air Force 1 “BE” Pack will be available at 21 Mercer St. tomorrow. They’ve knocked out some sought after collaborations in the past, including the SB Blazer Capsule Collection, but a handful of self-branded shoes are now available. This pair of Choices owns a red suede upper and sits on a white sole. Built for skating or just wearing around, these HUFs are available at DQM. | Nike SB Dunk Mid Black/Aquamarine Posted: 30 Jul 2010 11:58 AM PDT Last week we previewed this Black/Aquamarine SB with uncertainty on its release details. Today we find this Nike SB Dunk Mid hitting stores with SB accounts including Premier. Ditching the strap, this SB Dunk Mid features an all black upper offsetting suede and leather materials. Aquamarine graces the tongue logo as well as the laces, although the pair does comes with an additional set of black laces. Look for this model to hit your local SB account over the next week. | Culture Shoq x Ronnie Fieg x Asics Gel Lyte III Preview Posted: 30 Jul 2010 11:43 AM PDT Thanks to our second look at this upcoming collaboration, it’s now apparent that the Culture Shoq x Ronnie Fieg x Asics Gel Lyte III Part 2 will own a primarily white upper, aside from some grey and purple accents. The heel, midsole and midfoot are all black. This pair is scheduled to be revealed fully in the near future, so stay tuned for more looks in the coming days. | H-Town Sneaker Summit Silent Benefit Auction In Memory of Reggie Halloway Posted: 30 Jul 2010 11:28 AM PDT Earlier this year, the sneaker community lost a very special person and shoe enthusiast in Reggie Halloway. However, the bi-annual H-Town Sneaker Summit event ( a gathering Reggie participated in yearly) will do its part to keep Reggie Halloway at the forefront of our minds when it comes to sneakers. With that said, the H-Town Sneaker Summit will hold its first ever silent auction, in Reggie's name, to raise money for charity and help other kids watch their dreams come true. The item auctioned will be a special, autographed pair of Reebok ATR Elite Yao Ming PEs that were donated by the Houston Rockets. The Holloway family asks that all proceeds of this auction be donated to the Make A Wish Foundation of the Texas Gulf Coast. | Air Jordan 9 “For the Love of the Game” Release Info Posted: 30 Jul 2010 10:58 AM PDT Sure, Jordan Brand turned some heads by re-releasing the Air Jordan 9 White/Black-University Blue earlier this year; however, it seems as if Air Jordan addicts are more concerned about this similar-colored Air Jordan 9 “For the Love of the Game”. We have now learned that the Air Jordan 9 “For the Love of the Game” will hit select retailers worldwide on August 7th, 2010. If you recall, the aforementioned date was the primary release of the Air Jordan 7 “For the Love of the Game”, a sneaker that is now slated to release on August 13th, 2010. No word on what retailers will have this sneaker in stock; yet, we will post additional information as it surfaces.
