Nike Classic Cortez Nylon Obsidian/Utility Orange

Posted: 08 Aug 2010 11:13 AM PDT

Nike Classic CortezThe Nike Classic Nylon Cortez ’09 runs with a bold but simple color theme in vintage style.  A rippling Navy Blue nylon upper features a thick Utility Orange Swoosh matched by flat laces and midsole accents of the same hue.  Clean white dominates the midsole while touching the liner and heel.  The old school runner is a throwback to low tech comfort and retro steeze.

Bespoke Nike Air Force 1 By Chris Stallion

Posted: 08 Aug 2010 10:28 AM PDT

Air Force 1 Bespoke Chris Stallion

The Nike Air Force 1 Bespoke by Chris Doohan received a lot of praises for its simple yet bold color choices. Today, Chris Stallion takes a completely different angle on his recently designed Air Force 1 Bespoke. The pair uses a bright colors and premium materials to get its message across. The upper is composed of a dark burgundy suede, dark brown crock skin on the shoe eyelets and heel, and a very interesting brown/black mesh on the toe cap. In addition to these very limited materials and colors, a loud hot pink is used on the mid-sole, Nike Swoosh, and laces. Lastly, a yellow inner liner, gold mid-sole stitching, and gum sole set add very classic highlights to this Bespoke creation.

Nike Air Force 1 Hi Premium Black/Metallic Silver

Much like the Nike Air Force 1 Hi Light Charcoal/White that released this past week, this particular Air Force 1 is simple yet stylish in regards to the materials used. The black matte leather construction is something fresh and original as opposed to the regular leather sneakers we’re so used to seeing. Also, the 3M accent on the swoosh gives it a very nice secondary design cue.

Nike Sportswear unleashed a full-on assault on the market with its its classic runners and their trademarked colorways in the last year, though no one should be complaining. Metallic gold leather covers the mudguard and is complemented by the various shades of gold and textile materials that complete the upper. Of course, a white midsole and black outsole provide support on the underside. Varsity Red makes a few appearance at key branding points.
