| Missoni x Converse Chuck Taylor Collection Posted: 26 Aug 2010 11:58 AM PDT Missoni and Converse’s collaborative efforts have proven to be extremely-detailed to say the least. This past spring, both sides worked on a very nice Converse Chuck Taylor that incorporated the mult-colored Missoni fabric. Both sides are now set to release two new Chuck Taylors that feature a similar cloth design. If you recall, we showed you one of the upcoming Missoni x Converse Chuck Taylors (shown below) in June. It contains the Missoni fabrics in black/white and are shaped in a zig zag-like pattern. Various brown buttery soft leather accents also appear throughout the base. As for the new pair (shown above), it possesses the same color scheme, yet, the Missoni fabrics appear in a zebra stripe-like pattern. Look for both Missoni x Converse Chuck Taylors to release some time in the fall. View photos of both below. | HUF Choice & Hupper “Snake” Pack Posted: 26 Aug 2010 11:28 AM PDT The next round of HUF Footwear products have been made available at select retailers, including of course, HUF. The “Snake” Pack includes this Choice and similarly-styled Hupper. The low top Choice uses a white leather base with a snakeskin H and hit of red near the heel. The Hupper relies instead on a brown upper, tan liner and multicolor snakeskin H.  "Marty McFly" Nike Hyperdunk The first sneaker to sport the Air Mag colorway was the famed Nike Hyperdunk. McFly inspiration touched the already futuristic model with Universal Studios allowing Nike to use the grey colorway and teal speckled midsole. A glow in the dark outsole and ’2015′ tagging on the tongue added nostalgia to the design. Kobe Bryant arriving at the UNDFTD release event in the DeLorean car from the movie provided bonus recall for the big screen sneaker. New Balance has taken the 574 model and bumped it up to Premium status, thanks to heavy doses of quality leather and suede. Both colorways we see use brown leather as a base and mix in red clay near the heel. We have spotted two new high-top Chuck Taylors that feature all-suede constructions. One pair contains a 100% black suede base, while the other is done up in grey. Both of these Chuck Taylors, which also are finished with a traditional, white sole, are ideal for the fall/winter season. Now available at Converse’s online store for $60 each. All three utilize at least one bright accent color and a multitude of materials, including patent leather on the black and purple pair. The other two rely mostly on suede and mesh for their builds. News yesterday that Nike filed a patent for a lighting and fastening system on a shoe turned the blogosphere upside with the prospect of a Nike Air Mag release. Rocked by Marty McFly in Back to the Future II, the Air Mag “McFly” has never released to the public but its likeness has inspired many great Nike makeups. The space age sneaker’s grey and speckled blue colorway has been carried over to some of Nike’s top models creating a buzz everytime. In the spirit of the good news we take a look back at the best Nike’s inspired by the McFly.
Some kicks are gym shoes. These shoes are gym class. Drawing inspiration from two classic sportswear articles, the Converse Star Player Sock “Sweatshirt” brings comfy styling to an old school classic.
