| Nike Zoom Hyperfuse Deron Williams, Rajon Rondo & Brandon Roy PEs Posted: 08 Sep 2010 12:58 PM PDT It looks like Nike Basketball is set to release a colorway of it newest darling, the Zoom Hyperfuse, that pays tribute to the player that first got us hooked on the silhouette: Rajon Rondo. Other NBA stars will also be honored with retail-ready PEs, including Deron Williams and Brandon Roy. All three shoes sport a special insignia on the ankle to designate which player they were designed for. Rondo’s shoe shows only is number 9, though, as opposed to a special logo like Williams’ DW8 and Roy’s BR7 logos. Just yesterday we saw Russell Westbrook’s special Nikes, which should release around the same as these three pairs. | Patrick Patterson Signs to PEAK Posted: 08 Sep 2010 12:43 PM PDT Just three months ago, we informed you of former Kentucky Wildcats point guard John Wall’s signing with sneaker brand Reebok. In addition, we have learned that Patrick Patterson, his college teammate, has reached an agreement of his own. Patterson becomes the third player on the Houston Rockets (Shane Battier, Kyle Lowry) to sign with PEAK. Although they are many players in the NBA wearing PEAK, Patterson is officially the first to sign with PEAK’s new Los Angeles office. PEAK’s representatives seem to be ecstatic about signing the big man to a three-year deal. “Patrick Patterson is exactly what we’re looking for. He is young and has great things ahead of him,” said Douglas, PEAK’s Public Relations Coordinator. “We need players like Patterson who can grow with PEAK as we grow with the U.S. What are your thoughts on this new agreement between Patrick Patterson and PEAK? Last week we previewed the pack and today we get to see one of the highlights up close. This special Maxim Trainer 1 features an all black everything colorway using mesh, flywire, and nubuck. Each pair contains a soft, buttery suede construction with black hints such as the laces, inner lining and vulcanized, rubber sole. These Authentics also possess metal laceholders and a black Vans tag logo on the side panels. Colorways include Black, Red and Blue. View detailed photos below. Pewter is the hue of choice, appearing on the upper and its canvas piping. To match the vulcanized sole, white laces and contrast stitching have been implemented. Flatspot now has these on tap. Suede, mesh, and a waffle sole give the Nike Challenger ND retro running nostalgia. Originally released in the late 70s, the Challenger comes back as a casual shoe at a price point that won’t run you out of house and home.
