Vans California Chukka Boot ’10 oz. Canvas’ Black & Navy Posted: 11 Oct 2010 01:13 PM PDT Last week, two Vans California Era 59s released with uppers of canvas and leather. While the twosome was very similar to the “Canvas & Leather” Pack, it turns out that what actually ties the pack together is each shoe’s thick, 10 ounce canvas build. Two Chukka Boots have been released in similar constructions at select retailers, including Extra Butter, for $65. Waxed laces and tan leather midfoot panels complement the canvas uppers, and both shoes rely on white vulcanized soles. Vans California Chukka Boot ’10 oz. Air Jordan 1 Hi “Banned” New Images Posted: 11 Oct 2010 12:49 PM PDT Earlier today, Terror Squad rapper Fat Joe released a photo of the Air Jordan 1 Hi “Banned” via Twitter. Although the actual packaging of this sneaker featured the ‘X’ that represents the banning, the photo showed no sign of an ‘X’ mark on the shoe itself. However, Fat Joe recently revealed two more Air Jordan 1 Hi “Banned” photos that show the actual ban mark on the base. The red ‘X’ ban mark is noticeable on the heel panel in place of the ever-so-popular Jumpman logo. Yet, this element still does not cover the Air Jordan Wings logo on the collar, an attribute we saw on the August photos. Nevertheless, this will easily be one of the better Air Jordan 1 styles in a long time should it release. © George Kiel III for NiceKicks.com, 2010. | Permalink | 6 comments | Add to del.icio.us |
Nike Zoom Kobe VI (6) Packaging Posted: 11 Oct 2010 12:28 PM PDT The Nike Zoom Kobe V has been regarded by many sneakerheads and basketball enthusiasts as one of the best performance based sneakers of the year. This accolade has given the Nike Zoom Kobe VI some big shoes to fill and with release dates rapidly approaching, Nike has definitely stepped up the aesthetics portion of their game. In addition to creating one of the most eye-catching pairs of sneakers to hit the court this coming 2010-2011 NBA season, the Kobe VI will also be given a newly-designed box. From preliminary views, this new Kobe VI box will have a similar pattern embossed on the surface as seen on the actual shoe. This snake-print pattern relates to Kobe’s “Black Mamba” nickname. In addition to the print, the Kobe logo can also been seen faintly on the lid of the box. Source: Kickz-Lab © Albert Lin for NiceKicks.com, 2010. | Permalink | 7 comments | Add to del.icio.us |
Posted: 11 Oct 2010 11:28 AM PDT As a follow-up to the “White Perf” and “Black Perf” Packs, Nike has prepared the Toki ND, Air Force 1 and Dunk High AC in builds of monochromatic, perforated leather. This time around, Medium Grey is the chosen hue for the group. While the upper of each shoe is perforated, the Swoosh insignia is not, which adds some visual depth to the simple upper. Most of the characteristics seen in the group are shared by each sneaker, but the Air Force 1 is a bit special compared to its peers, as it has been blessed with an always-appreciated icy outsole. Look for all three to land at retailers very soon.
