Posted: 13 Oct 2010 12:58 PM PDT Since Kobe went East the stars today have followed suit and never looked back. The Jordan Melo M7 “China” sees latest signature from Anthony paying tribute to the blossoming basketball country. A predominately white tumbled leather upper is met by grey underlay set over a speckled midsole. Jade accents grace the upper and translucent outsole set off oddly with red laces. Converse Poorman Weapon Deep Lichen Posted: 13 Oct 2010 12:26 PM PDT Did you happen to snag the limited edition UNDFTD x Converse Poorman Weapon Olive? If not, Converse has just released a ‘consolation prize’ for you that seemingly mimics the aforementioned collaborative effort. This Converse Poorman Weapon, which is colored in Deep Lichen, contains a 100% canvas-textured upper as opposed to the nylon-laced construction seen on the Undefeated pair. Deep Lichen is offset by orange branding and an orange inner lining, while a white, vulcanized rubber sole (black piping) finishes this Poorman Weapon off. You can now purchase the Converse Poorman Weapon Deep Lichen for $55 at Converse’s online store. If anything, this is a nice, poor man’s Poorman Weapon for those who missed out. © George Kiel III for NiceKicks.com, 2010. | Permalink | 2 comments | Add to del.icio.us |

Purple Stuff: Nike’s 14 “Eggplant” Sneakers Posted: 13 Oct 2010 11:28 AM PDT The release of the Nike 1/2 Cent “Eggplant” is upon us and we’re as stoked as anybody. There’s no denying the dopeness of the Penny hybrid in the classic colorway, but is it the best “Eggplant” sneaker? Over the past few years we’ve seen a huge influx of this color having graced performance models, signature retros, and even non-basketball shoes. Which was the best? Check out the list to find out and tell us what your pick is in the poll and comment section. 14. Nike Shox R4 Ummmm busy? The Nike Shox R4 is undoubtably a classic as the first Shox runner. We’re just not sure if the “Eggplant” colorway works the best on this one. With that said it does provide a very different look for the shoe and it gets cool points for the Penny 1 inspired tongue. Nike Air Max 90 Custom “Air Tech Challenge 2.0″ Posted: 13 Oct 2010 10:28 AM PDT Miz, the customizer who brought us the Air Tech Challenge 2-inspired Nike Air Max 90 “Inframiz,” is back with more impressive work. This time around, the Air Tech Challenge 3/4 serves as inspiration with an Air Max 90 again providing a base. The wild print that once graced the heel of Andre Agassi’s signature sneaker can be seen on these AM90s, thanks to an airbrush and a steady hand. Agassi’s line remains prominent in sneaker culture to this day, so it’s no surprise that Miz chose to emulate this classic shoe. Did he do the original justice?
