| Air Jordan 2010 Team Marquette PE Posted: 15 Oct 2010 12:58 PM PDT When Dwyane Wade made his transition from representing Converse to Nike, Inc. partner Jordan Brand, so did his alma mater, Marquette University. Marquette guard Darius Johnson-Odom recently took to Twitter to reveal the team’s Air Jordan 2010 Team PE that the squad will wear this coming season. The upper is white leather, with navy and golden yellow accents appearing throughout. The midfoot bears the university’s name, and the side panel perforation reveals a yellow insole. | Air Jordan 13 “Altitude” First Look Posted: 15 Oct 2010 12:43 PM PDT The Air Jordan 13 “Altitude” is one of the years most anticipated releases for many sneakerheads and with the holiday season quickly approaching, we are finally getting a better look at exactly what materials will be used. As can be seen from the photos below, the pair has undergone quite a big change in terms of materials and overall feel. Instead of a black leather upper, Jordan Brand has elected to replace this original material with a mesh material that we first saw on the initial photos of the Air Jordan 13 Black/Red. This is quite a big change from the original leather material used and opinions have been both positive and negative regarding this radical redisign. How do you feel about this change. The artist has teamed up and produced one of the most unique pairs of the New Balance 996s we’ve seen. This pair previewed today sports a classic all grey upper with a distressed look. With signs of wear and tear shown throughout the upper, laces, and midsole, this pair is definitely something we’ve never seen. Look for this special collaboration to hit all eYe retailers soon. Attributing it to softer play and new rules, MJ felt he’d get to the line a lot more. This had us recounting Jordan’s highest scoring games over his career and of course the shoes he wore. Could MJ put up Wilt numbers in the league right now? If so, what shoes would he wear? | LeBron James to Debut Nike LeBron 8 “South Beach” Posted: 15 Oct 2010 10:43 AM PDT Tomorrow, Foot Locker’s House of Hoops will be opening its new Miami location. More importantly though, Miami’s most famous new resident will be attendance to introduce his new signature model in a very special colorway. LeBron James will speak to 100 young students at the event, which will conclude with the official release of the new Nike. The Nike LeBron 8 “Pre-Heat” we’ve come to know and love will officially be called the “South Beach,” but nothing else has changed on this Retro-colored, Miami Vice-inspired sneaker. | Gilbert Arenas Joining Under Armour? Posted: 15 Oct 2010 09:48 AM PDT The Gilbert Arenas sneaker rumor mill takes another spin today, thanks to the Washington Wizard’s decision to wear Under Armour kicks in a game last night. Since Arenas broke ties with adidas last season, he’s been seen wearing mostly Nike and Jordan product in preseason play, though no official ties to any brand have been verified. It wouldn’t come as much of a surprise if the Maryland-based brand has signed or plans to sign Arenas, a relatively local athlete with a checkered past and outspoken reputation. Consider that the flashy young guard Brandon Jennings is the current face of the brand’s basketball efforts. Ironically, the Wizards were playing Jennings’ Bucks when Arenas wore the sneakers. Could Arenas’ decision to wear Under Armour have been nothing more than an act of respect for the young talent or is it a sign of things to come?
