Air Jordan Fusion 4 White/Red-Black “Laser” Release Date

Posted: 17 Nov 2010 12:58 PM PST

Air Jordan Fusion 4 White Laser

Fresh off of the heels of the Air Jordan Fusion 4 Black/Varsity Red-Stealth release, we have now learned that the Air Jordan Fusion 4 White/Red-Black “Laser” will hit retailers on December 27th, 2010, just two days after Christmas. Obviously, the “Laser” Air Jordan IV is the focal point of inspiration for this shoe. Gold laser-etched drawings smother the predominately white leather base, while minimal Varsity Red and Black hints provide nice color blocking on the base. As stated earlier this shoe will hit retailers on December 27th for $150.

Matt Bonner Chooses Sandwiches Over Shoes

Posted: 17 Nov 2010 12:28 PM PST

Matt Bonner Prefers Sandwiches to Shoes

NBA players have a lot to consider when choosing which kicks to wear on the court. Most often, it’s performance or a paycheck that sways their decision. For Spurs center and sandwich lover Matt Bonner, it’s all about cold cuts and cash. According to Jeff McDonald of the San Antonio Express-News, Bonner weighed heavily on which shoes to wear before a recent game, which resulted in a rather lighthearted story.

Spurs center Matt Bonner sat at his locker before a recent game at the AT&T Center, deep in thought and staring at his feet, as if contemplating some key piece of preparation for the night ahead.

Which, in a way, he was.

"Which pair of shoes should I wear?" Bonner finally asked, holding aloft a pair of Converse and a pair of New Balance.

Someone proposed he don one of each, a suggestion Bonner considered a few seconds before an eavesdropping teammate shattered the dream.

A mismatched shoe selection would violate the NBA's uniform dress code, Manu Ginobili interjected, and could cost Bonner $25,000 in fines.

"Just think of how many sandwiches that is," Ginobili said, referring to Bonner's famously favorite form of sustenance.

And so, for the next 10 minutes, the Spurs' starting guard and backup center set out to quantify exactly that.

Estimating (conservatively, he says) 700 sandwiches per year at $5 a pop, Bonner ? concludes it would cost seven years' worth of hoagies to flout the NBA's uniform rules for one night.

"The punishment doesn't fit the crime," he sighed, as the rest of the room disintegrated into laughter.

Jeremy Scott x adidas Originals by Originals “Fire”

Posted: 17 Nov 2010 09:58 AM PST

Jeremy Scott x adidas Originals by Originals "Fire"

Jeremy Scott has lent his design efforts to some of the most erratic, unique adidas creations we have seen this year. Some of the latest include the “3M”, the “Glow-in-the-Dark” and “Clear” JS Wings variations. The next Jeremy Scott x adidas design comes in the form of the “Fire” adidas Originals by Originals JS. It features shades of orange and yellow that appear to be structured in a gradient-like flame of fire. The actual flames are seen on the wing attributes towards the heel, and the shoelaces also appear in gradient form. The Jeremy Scott x adidas Originals by Originals “Fire” is set to release in January of 2011. View additional photos below.

Air Jordan 13 “Altitude” Release Date Change

Posted: 17 Nov 2010 09:28 AM PST

Air Jordan 13 "Altitude" Release Date

One of the more anticipated released of this holiday season, the Air Jordan 13 “Altitude” sits high atop many sneakerheads’ lists of “must haves.” Last month we found out that December 4th would bring that shoe to stores, but now it looks as though the powers that be at Jordan Brand have delayed your opportunity to snag a pair. A week later than originally planned, December 11th is now the official release date for this shoe. While the change gives you seven additional days to get your money together, it also pushes it seven days closer to the $175 “Cool Grey” Air Jordan 11 drop.
