Posted: 08 Jan 2011 11:43 AM PST In addition to the Varsity Red/Metallic Silver Jordan Prime 5 we showed last month, Jordan Brand will release a second Jordan Prime 5 colorway in January. This colorway, known as the “Grape Ice”, features an all-Grape Ice upper with monochromatic stitching and shoelaces. It also makes use of a Grape colored sole, a Metallic Silver tongue and an icy, translucent sole. The Jordan Prime 5 is simply a slimmed-down version of the beloved Air Jordan V. Much like the Air Jordan I- Air Jordan Alpha 1, this shoe has been equipped with performance attributes which allow the wearer to actually play ball in this Air Jordan 5 lookalike. Look for the Jordan Prime 5 “Grape Ice” to hit retailers some time in January for $115. Kicks On Court: Arenas Pulls Out Air Jordan 8 Low Posted: 08 Jan 2011 09:49 AM PST It seems as if Gilbert Arenas has a little fetish for low-top Air Jordans. In mid-December, Arenas surprisingly laced up the Air Jordan 6 Low White/University Blue in his last game as a Washington Wizard. Last night, our Kicks On Court spotted the artist formerly known as Agent Zero in yet another classic, low-top Air Jordan. Gilbert Arenas scored eight points and added four assists/rebounds while wearing the Air Jordan 8 Low White/Metallic Silver. This shoe released in the summer of 2003 and is one of only two low-top Air Jordan 8 Lows (for the guys) to release to the public. Is this one of Arenas’ best selections of the 2010-2011 NBA season? View these kicks plus more, worn by Kobe Bryant, Chris Paul, LeBron James, Dwight Howard and others, below. Nike Zoom Hyperfuse Russell Westbrook PE “Away” Posted: 07 Jan 2011 06:13 PM PST Russell Westbrook may still be lurking in the shadow of teammate Kevin Durant, but the UCLA alum is as deserving of an All-Star nod as any guard in the league. Nike’s made sure to show plenty of love to the young PG in the form of special player editions of the Zoom Hyperfuse. This “Away” shoe is the next in the line of colorways we’ve seen and was intended for use on Thunder road trips. The “RW Why Not?” logo can be seen on the ankle and “KB3″ insignia appears on the tongue, while Oklahoma City’s colors are used on the upper. Nike Convention High JP “Honeycomb” & “Baroque Brown” Posted: 07 Jan 2011 04:28 PM PST The Nike Convention High JP is ironically quite unconventional. ACG inspired “Honeycomb” and “Baroque Brown” colorways see a unique take on the retro basketball model. Both makeups use elephant print, speckled midsoles, and hiking laces.
