Nike Zoom Kobe VI “Black History Month”

Posted: 12 Jan 2011 12:42 PM PST

Nike Zoom Kobe VI "Black History Month"

Many of you are eagerly awaiting clear photos of the Air Jordan 3 “Black History Month” and rightfully so. While we wait for those photos, we have spotted detailed photos of the Nike Zoom Kobe VI “Black History Month”. Multiple, unique details have been applied to this shoe in honor of the African culture. For example, the snakeskin, scaly design, seen on all Kobe VIs, is coupled with a ridged application (seen throughout the base) that represents the African cultural art form of face/body scarification. In addition, this Kobe VI’s insoles hold special meaning, literally. The left insole reads, 'A Call to Greatness' and features a special all-over graphic, along with the roman numeral XXXV (35th anniversary of Black History Month). The right insole reads, "Overcome the odds. Make an impact on your sport. Change the world." View detailed photos below.

Nike Air Force 1 Low ‘Kobe Bryant’ Release Date

Posted: 12 Jan 2011 11:28 AM PST

Nike Air Force 1 Low 'Kobe Bryant'

It seems as if Kobe Bryant will have his imprint on an Air Force 1 or two this year. Following the "Eggplant" Nike Air Force 1 Foamposite 'Kobe Bryant' we showed you earlier today, we have now spotted a Nike Air Force 1 Low ‘Kobe Bryant’. Nike opted for a predominately black base much like the ‘Away’ variations of his signature models. Premium leather makes up the majority of the upper, while black snakeskin appears throughout the midfoot and on the heel. Purple hints show up in the form of the inner lining and outsole, and Kobe Bryant’s Black Mamba logo rests on the tongue in yellow. The Nike Air Force 1 Low ‘Kobe Bryant’ is scheduled to release on February 1, 2011. View detailed photos below.
