Lil Wayne has Words for LeBron James, Dwyane Wade Posted: 19 Jan 2011 01:18 PM PST New Orleans rapper Lil Wayne has been a constant in our Kicks On Court this season. We have spotted him sitting courtside at many of the Miami Heat home games and a couple of the New Orleans Hornets game wearing everything from the Air Jordan 13 White/Varsity Red-Black to Louboutin Studded sneakers. However, his courtside heat (let alone himself) is not garnering any attention from Miami Heat superstars LeBron James and Dwyane Wade. In the upcoming issue of Rolling Stone, Wayne expressed his discontent with LeBron James and Dwyane Wade’s lack of acknowledgment of his presence at the Miami Heat home games. "Them ni**as never speak to a ni**a," Lil Wayne said. "They don't chunk me the deuce or nothing. Ni**a spent all that money on them f**king tickets…Come holla at me. We sit right by them little b**ch a** ni**as. At least come ask me why I'm not rooting for you." Obviously, we do not know the actual details as to why LeBron James and Dwyane Wade have not acknowledge Lil Wayne. If you recall, Lil Wayne appeared in LeBron James’ Nike Zoom LeBron VI “Chalk” commercial (shown below) for promotion of LeBron’s sixth signature model. Has there been a fallout since then? Nike WMNS Blazer Low Alarming/Sail Posted: 19 Jan 2011 12:28 PM PST Denim is appearing all over the footwear world lately, so it’s no surprise that Nike has dressed a Blazer Low in denim for the ladies. Alarming red denim covers the entire, receiving help from Sail denim on the Swoosh and tongue border. A vulcanized sole provide support from the underside, though an upper-matching bumper has been implemented to help keep the toe area clean. On the heel tab, bold embroidery spells out “NIKE” loud and proud. Ladies can cop a pair of these slick sneaks now for $75 at Nice Kicks. Nike Zoom Brave IV Tony Parker ‘Home’ PE Posted: 19 Jan 2011 11:28 AM PST Tony Parker and the San Antonio Spurs continue to pull away from the rest of the NBA teams as the season unravels. Our Kicks On Court has spotlighted a couple of players such as DeJuan Blair (“Cool Grey” Air Jordan 11), Manu Ginobili (Nike Zoom Closer IV) and George Hill (Nike LeBron 8). Today, we take a look at Tony Parker’s Nike Zoom Brave IV ‘Home’ PE. Much like the majority of Nike Basketball’s current models, the Nike Zoom Brave IV contains its fair share of Flywire, specifically on the dorsal section of the silhouette. It also possesses Zoom Technology and features leather on the frontal part of the sneaker. Lastly, multiple Tony Parker details appear on the upper such as his signature on the toe area, his jersey number on the sole and his personal logo on the tongue. The Air Jordan 1 and Air Jordan 5 lent their respective design elements to this sneaker, which is dressed completely in Varsity Red, save for the 3M tongue. The classic Wings logo is emblazoned on the foxing and a Metallic Silver outsole matches up with the tongue. You can scoop this hybrid now at Nike Store for $115. In Retrospect: Air Jordan Alpha 1 Posted: 19 Jan 2011 10:13 AM PST Dwyane Wade, Ray Allen and Quentin Richardson surprised many sneaker enthusiasts when they debuted the Air Jordan Alpha 1 on Christmas Day 2009 (see our Kicks On Court: Holiday Treats). A month later, Jordan Brand released their first colorway of the performance based Air Jordan Alpha 1. This sneaker, which debuted around this time last year, can be credited for Jordan Brand’s recent commitment to performance-ready creations (Jordan Take Flight, Jordan Pure J, Jordan Prime 5). Many applauded Jordan Brand for taking a vintage, classic Air Jordan model and incorporating up-to-date, performance technology and attributes. Did you purchase the original Air Jordan Alpha 1, and was it worth $125? If not, are you wishing you would have snagged them last January? How does this sneaker rank amongst the other performance based sneakers from Jordan Brand lately? Lastly, was this one of your favorite Air Jordan releases of 2010? Let us know your thoughts on the Air Jordan Alpha 1 Black/Varsity Red-White in the comment section below! © George Kiel III for NiceKicks.com, 2011. | Permalink | 13 comments | Add to del.icio.us |
Posted: 19 Jan 2011 09:58 AM PST In addition to the adidas Originals JS “Teddy Bear” we showed you yesterday, Packer Shoes also has the adidas Originals JS “Fire” in stock. We witnessed a tong of adidas Originals JS releases in 2010; however, this pair, along with the aforementioned “Teddy Bear” pair may be the most head-turning. The adidas Originals JS “Fire” features a gradient-like design on the entire upper. The tip of the flame design is colored in dark orange and simply fades into yellow on the toe box. The shoelaces feature the same design, and black accents (Three Stripes logo, sole, tongue) provide nice color blocking. How does this adidas Originals JS “Fire” rank amongst the previous JS styles?
