| Comme des Garçons PLAY for Converse Jack Purcell Posted: 14 Feb 2011 12:58 PM PST Today, Converse officially announced the launch of the Comme des Garçons PLAY for Converse Jack Purcell. This new design features the same subtle approach seen on the first collaboration with the Chuck Taylor, yet, it incorporates PLAY’s signature heart-with-eyes logo on the same panel. The collection includes two black canvas and two natural canvas shoes, with one of each color graced with the black heart Comme des Garçons PLAY logo and the other with a red heart version. Look for these Jack Purcells to hit select retailers in March 2011 for $110 each. Specifically, they will be available at Comme des Garçons stores worldwide including Dover Street Market in London in limited numbers. View detailed photos below. This new take on the ZX 800 eliminates the stripes and ups the class, thanks to a healthy dose of rich off white suede. A grey and black splattered midsole panel matches the numerous black panels on the upper and a soft leather liner adds a splash of color. | Nike Air Max 24-7 “Foamposite” Metallic Gold Posted: 14 Feb 2011 12:13 PM PST A hyrbid of a hybrid, this upcoming Air Max 24-7 is a great example of when mixing kicks goes right. This Nike, which will land mid-March, follows the “Royal Foamposite” pair that just released. Neither uses actual Foamposite material, but the synthetic “Faux-posite” kicks are popping up all over Nike’s catalog, and have received positive reviews from most readers. This particular sneaker utilizes a Metallic Gold and black color scheme and will hit shelves with a $160 price tag attached this spring. This season has been a standout, but his jersey isn’t the only thing that’s changed. Shelving the standard basketball models, Amar’e has been getting it done in the Nike Zoom Huarache Trainer Mid. His PE boasts a royal blue upper, an orange sockliner, and white strap. White reappears on the midsole while orange does double duty on the branding and outsole.
