The Crazy 8 boasts Feet You Wear technology and aggressive lines that are still eye-catching by today’s standards. The latest run of colorways looks to be inspired by, and designed for, adidas’ four major collegiate programs. Notre Dame, Kansas, Louisville and UCLA’s respective colors all appear on a shoe, but no logos are present. A white backdrop sets the stage for a navy dressed upper with bold gold branding. White reappears on the midsole with touches of bright red adding flavor. | Reebok Insta Pump Fury Citron/Teal-White Posted: 18 Feb 2011 11:28 AM PST A new colorway of the Reebok Insta Pump Fury has been spotted on the streets today. This classic Reebok sneaker has been seen in a multitude of colorways the past few years. Today’s pair makes use of a great color pattern we’ve never seen before. The upper is a combination of yellow, neon yellow, white and green tones. The combination of this bright color palette accentuates the already flamboyant silhouette of the Insta Pump. | Ronnie Fieg x ASICS Gel Lyte III “Leather Backs” Preview Posted: 18 Feb 2011 10:58 AM PST After a short winter hiatus, killer collaborator Ronnie Fieg is back to working on his most popoular muse, the ASICS Gel Lyte III. Revealed here in teaser fashion is his next release, the “Leather Backs.” These feature a grey nubuck toe and perforated pigskin toe box, as well as a black leather collar. Presumably, some of the heel-most panels will also be constructed with black leather, given the nickname assigned to these kicks. Finally, glimpses of a bright teal color can be seen peeking out from under the outsole and quarter panel. No release information is available yet, nor is a detailed look, but Mr. Fieg has promised to make 2011 even bigger for the Gel Lyte III than 2010. A plethora of iD options are available from suede, leather, mesh, and metallic grid on the upper to solid or clear outsole finish. Electric Green mesh and nubuck come together to make up most of the upper, while Team Violet is used heavily as an accent color. Trinomic cushioning system is employed on this model for additional comfort. Lastly, Grenadine red accent are used throughout to further brighten this sneaker. You can scoop your own pair, which includes a matching laptop sleeve, at Politics for $95. Black dresses the upper with the trademark mesh insert, shark teeth, icy sole, lace locks, and 3M tongue all in tact. Alarming red works as an accent on the branding, lining, teeth, and embroidered 23 giving a borderline Infrared feel. Are these one of the better Air Jordan 5 new releases?
