Nike Zoom Kobe VI “Glass Blue” Detailed Photos Posted: 22 Feb 2011 12:58 PM PST Lakers? No. All-Star? Nope. Batman? Nu-uh. One of the next Zoom Kobe VIs needs no obvious inspiration for its color story. Instead, it just boasts bright colors and awesome details. Most notably, the icy forefoot outsole of the “Glass Blue” Kobe is filled with glitter-like metallic speckles. Don’t let the glitter fool you though, these kicks are no kindergarten art project. Dark Grey and metallic charcoal scaly Skinwire is used for the base of the upper. The namesake part teal, part blue hue is used for the laces, heel cup and midsole. Vibrant Yellow details further brighten the overall aesthetic, as does the retina-burning Total Orange liner. Not many teams will be able to rock this sneaker on the court, but if you want to turn some heads at your local pick-up game (or food court), set aside $130 for its March 5th release at select retailers, including Nice Kicks. Reebok Dual Pump Runner Black/Red-Sky Blue Posted: 22 Feb 2011 12:28 PM PST Last year, we witnessed multiple, stylish Reebok Dual Pump Runner releases such as the “Pyro Red” colorway. We have spotted another interesting Dual Pump Runner colorway that will hit retailers this spring. The black based Runner mixes suede and mesh for the predominance of the base and uses minimal sky blue accents on the side panel Pump logo, laces and a small section on the outsole. Also, red hints appear on the inner lining, heel branding and checkerboard-like design just above the midsole. View additional photos below. Nike Air Max 1 “ACG Pack” Black/Victory Green Posted: 22 Feb 2011 11:58 AM PST After the success of earlier ACG inspired makeups the rollout continues with the Nike Air Max 1 Black/Victory Green. A black on black upper is contrasted with victory green branding, white lining, and a white midsole. Mismatching laces and ACG tagging add a new dimension to this Air Max makeup. Look for these to reach the States, but until then get them at Schuh-You. Nike Air Max 1 © Ian Stonebrook for NiceKicks.com, 2011. | Permalink | One comment | Add to del.icio.us |
Posted: 22 Feb 2011 11:28 AM PST In the history of the LeBron signature line, the “Dunkman” colorway reigns supreme. From “Friends and Family” issues to last year’s wildly successful Air Max LeBron VII, this special color story has made appearances on many models. Though Clark Kent was able to get his hands on a pair of the LeBron 8 V1s in this colorway, it looks as though it will be the LeBron 8 PS that brings this look to retail. Sporting a Metallic Silver Hyperfuse upper and Neon Green accents throughout, including the inner liner and gum outsole, this shoe is sure to turn heads. The Dunkman logo appears on the heel, just in case the bright colorway doesn’t convince passersby of this sneaker’s special designation. Where does this sneaker rank in the History of Nike LeBron “Dunkman” Sneakers? Jordan Evolution ’85 “All-Star” Joe Johnson PE Posted: 22 Feb 2011 10:58 AM PST Following the detailed shots of Javale McGee’s PEAK Relentless PEs we showed you earlier, we now take a look at Joe Johnson’s All-Star Jordan Evolution ’85 PE. Johnson probably wore the most subdued, low-key player exclusive in the Staples Center this past Sunday. It’s perfect for him seeing as that he is a quiet killer on the court. This Evolution ’85 features a grey colored base comprised of suede and a net-like mesh material on the toe box and side panels. It also contains a cement print design on the heel and just above the midsole. To finish it off, this Johnson’s PE possesses an icy sole. adidas Originals Questar Fresh Blue/Electric Posted: 22 Feb 2011 10:28 AM PST 3M flash isn’t to be reserved for grey and black makeups. The adidas Originals Questar Fresh Blue/Electric sees the familiar flash placed upon a throwback running silo dressed in bright hues. Blue, orange, and yellow hues are placed atop a grey background with all-over reflective shine. These are available in the US at Shop adidas and overseas at Cali Roots. adidas Originals Questar © Ian Stonebrook for NiceKicks.com, 2011. | Permalink | No comment | Add to del.icio.us |
Posted: 22 Feb 2011 09:58 AM PST Kevin Durant’s Nike Zoom KD III was recently extended into a team-friendly series with some basic, simply color blocked kicks intended to match player uniforms at any level. While the Gorge Green, Varsity Royal and Varsity Red pairs are all easy to appreciate, sometimes things are easiest to understand when they’re put in black and white. This upcoming colorway can match most anything, thanks to its white leather base and high gloss black forefoot and quarter panel. Expect an early March drop on this low-dollar, high-performer. PEAK Relentless Javale McGee PEs Posted: 22 Feb 2011 09:28 AM PST Javale McGee was one of the big surprises in this year’s NBA All-Star Dunk Contest (see our Kicks On Court 2011 NBA All-Star Weekend Recap). Some onlookers felt he had better dunks than Blake Griffin, and felt he sneaker game was a little better than the Dunk Contest winner. We now have detailed photos of the five PEAK Relentless PEs McGee wore in the Dunk Contest. McGee definitely stood out and wore a variety of Relentless colorways. Some were head-turning, while other featured a subtle color scheme. He rocked the red/yellow and blue/red pairs as a mismatched set while attempting an awkward reverse dunk under the goal. In the yellow/black-blue pair, McGee attempted to dunk two basketballs in two different goals, and in the grey/black pair, he dunked three basketballs in one goal. Lastly, he wore the gold/white PEAK Relentless for his last dunk. What are your thoughts on Javale McGee’s PEAK Relentless PEs? If these released, would you purchase a pair? Did Javale have some of the best footwear at All-Star Weekend? View detailed photos below.
