Posted: 03 Mar 2011 01:13 PM PST If the 17-44 Toronto Raptors and the 17-43 New Jersey Nets aren’t a reason enough to watch tonight’s game in the UK, perhaps a new pair of kicks will. Today, we have spotted a new pair of the Nike Hyperdunk 2010s that will most likely be worn in the game by select players of the New Jersey Nets. This pair, shown in detail after the jump, features a classic color combination that is complimented with an iconic symbol. The upper of this specific pair is a dark grey tone that is complimented with hits of navy and red on the Swoosh, sole and heel cup. This otherwise mundane pair is definitely highlighted with the Union Jack flag symbol on the tongue. With the United Kingdom being one of the less powerful basketball programs in international competition, this might be one of the few opportunities to purchase a “UK” Nike Basketball product. Posted: 03 Mar 2011 10:58 AM PST Back when Kobe Bryant was just the baby Mamba, a Brandy-courting high school sensation at Philadelphia’s Lower Merion High School, he was weighing his options on where to suit up in the NCAA. As we all know, he’d end up foregoing intercollegiate play to enter the NBA, but Duke University was his choice school had he played college ball. Because of the special relationship between Kobe and the Durham, NC school, as well as the reverence Bryant has for Coach K, his Nike signature sneakers have long released in special Duke-inspired colorways. The Nike Zoom Kobe VI is no exception. The reptilian upper displays a Varsity Royal hue, as do the semi-translucent outsole and liner. Completing the upper are a black tongue and heel, while a white midsole sits underneath. With March Madness only weeks away, there could be no better time for this Nike to hit shelves than this weekend on March 5th. Select retailers will be selling this Blue Devil doozy, including Nice Kicks in Austin, Texas for $130.
