Posted: 03 Apr 2011 12:43 PM PDT

Air Jordan 8 Black/Chrome

The “Aquas” and the “Playoffs” get a lot of shine, but you know what’d we really like to see comeback? The Air Jordan 8 Black/Chrome. Whether it was their Raiders steeze or just easy to wear color combo, the “Chrome” 8s rank high as one of the best non-OG colorways. We got the “Blackout” 2011s this weekend which could be a future classic but we haven’t seen these in nearly eight years. Yo JB, bring ‘em back!

Jordan Phase 23 Hoops

Today, another colorway of Jordan Phase 23 Hoops has been added to the extensive list of summer basketball kicks. This pair takes a much more stealthy approach with an all-black upper that is highlighted with hints of white in the form of branding, the heel strap and midsole. In addition, hits of dark charcoal can be seen on the side panel giving this pair a similar scheme seen on the Air Jordan 2011 “Blackout”. View additional photos below.

Nike Blazer Mid Grey/Volt

Posted: 03 Apr 2011 11:13 AM PDT

Nike Blazer Mid

The Nike LeBron “Dunkman” colorway has become a favorite amongst sneakerheads. Today, the volt based colorway makes a return on the always-classic Nike Blazer Mid. The colorway, which has already dropped at select retailers, features a predominately grey upper that is composed of a smooth grained leather. This is complimented with volt colored tongue, laces, and heel tab. The last detail that should be noted is the use of a perforated instead of stitched Swoosh. The bright colors and reduction of materials sets up for this pair to be a great Summer mid-top. As stated above, this pair is already in stores so head to your local Nike retailer to pickup a pair today.

Air Jordan 6 "South Beach" Custom

Sometimes, custom designs attract sneaker enthusiasts more than the actual shoe. That is the case with the recently-shown Air Jordan 6 “South Beach” Custom. Besides the “Infrared” Air Jordan 6 Pack, no Air Jordan 6 release gained as much as attention as this custom last year. Is this one of the best custom designs you have seen to date?

Wale Foams Home to Nigeria

Air Jordan 5 Black/Metallic Silver

The “Wolf Grey” Air Jordan 5 is not the only colorway of MJ’s fifth signature shoe to look out for this year. Jordan Brand will also re-release the Air Jordan 5 Black/Metallic Silver this summer.

Nike Air Max 90

Colors are supposed to come alive in the spring time, but I like to keep it grey based year round. This medium grey AM90 is just what I need for the spring/summer season. Grey leather, grey mesh and minimal white hints combine nicely on this iconic silhouette.

Kicks On Court Weekly Recap – Fab Five

Posted: 02 Apr 2011 01:28 PM PDT

This Week In Sneaks

Our Kicks On Court column is beginning to heat up with the 2011 playoffs not too far away. Gilbert Arenas became the first NBA player to rock the “Metallic Pewter” Nike Air Foamposite One, while LeBron James laced up a never-before-seen Nike LeBron 8 V2 colorway. We welcomed Michael Redd back to the court after a long injury-riddled season and spotted Matt Barnes exiting a game before the final buzzer while wearing a Snoop Dogg inspired shoe. Lastly, Brandon Jennings wore yet another new colorway of his signature model. Check out this week’s Kicks On Court Weekly Recap – Fab Five.

Kicks On Court

Gilbert Arenas (rear) wearing the "Metallic Pewter" Nike Air Foamposite One

Gilbert Arenas may not post difference-making numbers on a nightly basis, but sneaker game remains intact. On Wednesday night, he became the first NBA player to rock the “Metallic Pewter” Nike Air Foamposite One on court. Did you purchase or pass on these?

Kicks On Court

Michael Redd wearing the Nike Hyperdunk 2010

Sure, we have seen better PEs than the Nike Hyperdunk 2010 Michael Redd has in this photo; however, we are happy to the left-handed gunslinger on the court again. Before the injuries, Michael Redd was easily one of, if not the best shooter in the league.

Kicks On Court

LeBron James wearing a new Nike LeBron 8 V2

Unlike the past couple of years, Nike has lessened the amount of colorways on LeBron James’ signature shoe this season. Yet, he garnered a lot of attention by wearing an “Away” red/black-varsity maize Nike LeBron 8 V2 Tuesday night in his return to Cleveland. Many of you stated that this may be a top five LeBron 8 V2 colorway and rightfully so.

Brandon Jennings wearing a white/red Under Armour Black Ice Low

Lately, Brandon Jennings has been wearing a number of Under Armour Black Ice colorways. He owned a spot in last week’s Kicks On Court Weekly Recap – Fab Five thanks to his Gucci-esque Black Ice Lows. This week, he was spotted in a white/red Under Armour Black Ice Low colorway.

Matt Barnes in the "Snoop Dogg" adidas adiPure and Jason Terry wearing the "Jet Shark" Reebok Zig Slash

Matt Barnes supported one of the Lakers’ biggest fans Thursday night against the Dallas Mavericks. He laced up the “Snoop Dogg” adidas adiPure, a sneaker that Snoop Dogg has rocked to a few of the games at the Staples Center.
