Converse Chuck Taylor All Star Ox “Denim Pack” Posted: 18 Jun 2011 01:13 PM PDT The Converse Chuck Taylor All Star Ox is the latest sneaker to be given the the denim treatment. Two tones of denim are featured on this classic silhouette including a classic blue denim and a more sleek dark denim. In Retrospect: Air Jordan 6 “Infrared” Pack Posted: 18 Jun 2011 12:43 PM PDT Sure, the “Cool Grey” Air Jordan 11 was easily the most anticipated Jordan release of 2010; however, was it the best Jordan release of the year? If you recall, Jordan Brand soaked up all of the attention over the summer last year by unleashing the Air Jordan 6 “Infrared” Pack. It marked the second time we would see the “Black Infrared” Air Jordan 6 release to the public since its original offering in 1991. Yet, it became the first time we’d see the “White Infrared” in stores since its original release. Were you able to get your hands on the Air Jordan 6 “Infrared” Pack, and was it worth the money you paid for it? If not, are you wishing you would have snagged this pack last June? Lastly, was this one of your favorite Air Jordan Retro releases of 2010? Let us know your thoughts on the Air Jordan 6 “Infrared” Pack in the comment section below! **Note** Also, check out our Air Jordan 6 Black/Infrared 1991 vs. 2000 vs. 2010 comparison on the second page. This Day In Sneaker History: The Nike Swoosh Turns 40 Posted: 18 Jun 2011 11:58 AM PDT Over the hill? Nope, forever young. Back in 1971 Carolyn Davis was a graphic design student at Portland State University that "couldn't afford to take oil painting". Phil Knight, an accounting professor at the school, approached Davis about a freelance project. She accepted, and after roughly 17.5 hours of work she presented Knight with what is now known as the Swoosh. On June 18th, 1971 the US Patent Office recorded the logo. It's been uphill for Nike ever since. Source: OregonLive © Ian Stonebrook for NiceKicks.com, 2011. | Permalink | 2 comments | Add to del.icio.us |
Posted: 18 Jun 2011 11:28 AM PDT A new model has spotted today. This hybrid model, dubbed the Nike Air Royal Mid SO TZ, borrows elements from the Nike Air Royal Mid and adds bit of lifestyle appeal with a crepe outsole. These limited tier-zero quickstrikes feature perforated soft suede uppers in grey and charcoal. Green and blue crepe soles finish the pair off and add a never-before-seen element of contrast to what would otherwise be a very simple pair. What are your opinions on this new model?
